Supply Chain Opportunities

As the UK’s leading beer, cider and pub business, we’re home to some of the world’s best-loved beers and ciders, and a leading player in the international drinks industry.

We're the name behind a host of brilliant brands, from Inch’s to Birra Moretti and many more. And with around 2,400 pubs to our name in the UK, our Star Pubs business is all about putting pubs at the centre of community life.

But we’re more than just great beers and ciders – we’re a place where passion meets purpose, careers are crafted as carefully as our brews, and enjoyment of life is part of the job.

We’ll soon be recruiting for multiple roles across our production sites in Manchester, Tadcaster, and Herefordshire. We’re searching for passionate people who want to grow and develop their skills, gain hands-on experience with a wide range of technologies, sharpen their problem-solving abilities and untap their full potential.

What roles will be available?

If you're interested in joining our Supply Chain team but don't see a role below that's right for you, we’d still love to hear from you.

Maintenance Managers

The role: Leading and coaching maintenance teams to ensure asset reliability, safety compliance, and smooth daily operations. You’ll oversee maintenance planning, CMMS use, and budgets for packaging lines.

Who we’re looking for: Strong leaders who can implement new ways of working, challenge existing practices and lead teams through change. Experience with complex process control systems, continuous improvement mindset, IOSH or NEBOSH qualification, and TPM knowledge are essential.

Maintenance Development Engineers

The role: Develop and implement maintenance strategies across Production, Packaging, and Utilities. You’ll lead improvement projects, support technicians with breakdown analysis, optimise maintenance standards, manage change and handle investment proposals.

Who we’re looking for: Experience with high-speed process or packaging machinery, preferably in FMCG. You’ll be skilled in maintenance techniques such as FMECA and RCM, problem-solving with LEAN or TPM, and able to drive improvements collaboratively.

Automation Engineers

The role: Supporting and maintaining automation and electrical systems across production and utilities. Key systems include Rockwell and Siemens PLCs, SCADA platforms, and various industrial networks. Your focus will be on improving reliability, efficiency and performance.

Who we’re looking for: You’ll have an Electrical Engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3 to HNC/HND) with solid electrical knowledge. Experience with Rockwell and Siemens PLCs, SCADA, industrial networks, and cybersecurity is required. FMCG and packaging automation experience is preferred, plus you’ll also have great communication and training skills.

Technicians

The role: Performing essential maintenance and quality tasks to ensure the safe and efficient operation of equipment. You’ll be driving continuous improvement on a fast-paced, automated production line.

Who we’re looking for: You’ll preferably have some FMCG background, be skilled in mechanical and electrical maintenance, proactive in continuous improvement and be a natural team player. Relevant qualifications like HND, NVQ Level 3, or nearing Apprenticeship completion are desired.
