As the UK’s leading pub, cider, and beer business, we’re home to some of the world’s best-loved ciders and beers, and a leading player in the international drinks industry. But there’s so much more to HEINEKEN than meets the eye.

About the role:
We’re looking for a Market & Shopper Intelligence Manager to be the expert voice on Beer & Cider market performance and shopper dynamics at Heineken UK. The role plays a critical part in ensuring our strategic and commercial decisions are grounded in robust, objective and data-led insight.

You’ll own market share reporting across Total Trade, On Trade and Off Trade, act as a trusted partner to brand, innovation and category teams, and translate complex market data into clear, high-impact insight that keeps the business close to its sell-out performance, competitive position and overall market pulse.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Own accurate market share and performance reporting across Total Trade, On Trade and Off Trade, ensuring senior stakeholders have a clear and objective view of Heineken UK’s market performance.
  • Take end-to-end ownership of product coding and market data governance with external vendors, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
  • Act as a trusted market and shopper insight partner across brand, innovation and category teams, shaping decisions through rigorous, evidence-led insight.
  • Deliver clear recommendations on growth opportunities, portfolio performance, innovation priorities, shopper trends and switching behaviour.
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of market insight projects, shaping briefs with a clear business point of view and managing agency and data partners to deliver high-quality analysis.
  • Own prioritisation of the insight project backlog, ensuring focus is placed on the work with the greatest commercial impact and avoiding duplication across agencies.
  • Champion effective use of market data platforms and self-serve insight across the business, onboarding and educating stakeholders.
  • Partner with Data & Analytics teams to support the maintenance and enhancement of Power BI market share reporting, ensuring outputs are intuitive, trusted and decision-ready.

About you:

You’re commercially minded, analytically strong and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, highly scrutinised environment. You bring the confidence to challenge thinking, the clarity to simplify complex data, and the credibility to influence senior stakeholders through insight rather than opinion.

Experience We’re Looking For

  • Circa 7+ years’ experience in market, category or shopper insight roles within FMCG; drinks experience is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of UK FMCG market dynamics, shopper behaviour, routes to market and competitive context.
  • Hands-on experience working with Nielsen and Kantar data sources.
  • Strong analytical capability, with experience interrogating large and complex datasets to identify performance drivers and implications.
  • Highly effective communicator, able to translate analysis into clear, compelling stories for senior and cross-functional audiences.
  • Proven experience influencing within a matrixed organisation and managing challenge constructively.
  • Highly organised, with strong prioritisation skills and attention to detail across multiple workstreams.

We embrace learning and growth, and we anticipate there is scope to develop in this role. You’re also likely to bring experiences to this role that are not listed above – as long as you have a thirst for learning and development, not every box needs to be ticked when it comes to skillsets.

Our Ways of Working
Our office sites operate a hybrid model. You’ll spend Tuesdays, Thursdays and one other day in the office and two days from home, although but you’re more than welcome to come and work from the office on those days too.

In addition to your base salary, you’ll also receive:

  • Discretionary Annual bonus
  • Company funded Private Medical Healthcare
  • Double matched pension contributions (up to 10%)
  • 35 days holiday (with the opportunity to buy/sell)
  • A monthly case of our delicious ciders and beers!
