About the role
Reporting directly into the Head of Workspace and Safety of HEINEKEN UK, collaboration across various teams globally is crucial in shaping strategic and operational priorities to ensure safe, compliant, and cost-effective delivery of facilities and safety services.
Your responsibilities include managing Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) contracts, fostering sustainable practices, driving asset management plans, and ensuring smooth operational processes.
The role leads the safety agenda for field-based colleagues, develops policies for safe practices (e.g., lone working), and plans for the future of workspaces. By managing provider relationships, monitoring KPIs, and driving continuous improvements, the role creates an inclusive, engaging environment aligned with HEINEKEN's Life Saving Rules and Green Print to Win behaviours.
Who we're looking for
You will preferably have a strong track record in managing both hard and soft services within a corporate environment. Ideally, being a chartered engineer will give a competitive edge but experience in contract management will be highly considered as a significant part of this role.
In addition to this, we also expect this person to:
- Uphold and promote safety principles through their primary stakeholders and influencing the wider HEINEKEN UK Business.
- An individual who enjoys working in a team and also autonomously as this role gives you a good blend of both.
- A strong entrepreneurial mindset with personable as this will enable you to map out the best possible way of driving change and build strong external networks.

Our ways of working
This role would require a high degree flexibility in terms of travelling out to the different sites to meet with colleagues and external stakeholders as a key element to the Workspace & Safety Team; a valid UK Driver's Licence is mandatory in this case.
In May we’ll be moving to a fantastic new office at 6 St Andrew Square – right in the heart of the city centre.
The office is in a great location with excellent public transport links so it’s really easy to get to whether you’re travelling by train, bus or tram!
With a brilliant selection of restaurants, bars, shops and our very own Star Pubs on our doorstep, you’ll be spoilt for choice for extracurricular activities. And if you fancy catch up after hours with your colleagues, our in-house bar with fantastic views of Edinburgh Castle might just be the spot for you!
