Procurement Category Manager

Your Mission: Aligned with Company Strategy, guarantee sustainable and uninterrupted supply of selected materials/servives in the OpCo at competitive cost and quality compliance.

Developing and executing the Procurement Strategy with primary responsibility for one category by negotiating the best commercial and legal agreements with suppliers in order to leverage Heineken scale, improving the result of the OpCo


Who will you report to: Procurement Manager


              Location: Vialonga  


Your Responsibilities: As a Procurement Category Manager in SCC you are responsible for developing the procurement strategy for your category (together with Head Office where appropriate) and executing it locally. You have the ability to develop effective working relationships with colleagues from different departments and Head Office, as well as with suppliers, and can leverage your strong stakeholder management skills to drive results. You display effective negotiation skills, commercial agility and you are a confident user of modern procurement tools to deliver the maximum result for your category. You demonstrate a clear awareness of contract management requirements and report the results of your portfolio to your key stakeholders. Through seeking innovative solutions from the market and constantly challenging yourself, you are an instrumental support for the Procurement Manager to drive change and raise the level of ambition of Procurement within the company. Main Responsibilities:


  • Proactively engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and the business environment to create the right strategy for your category
  • Support the procurement sustainability agenda for the category;
  • Lead Opportunity Assessments together with stakeholders
  • Manage Supply Base for Category together with stakeholders, in order to look for optimization and ensure agility to move fast and respond to changes in business needs
  • Think strategically and prioritize activities that drive the highest value for the business;
  • Tender and negotiate contracts for locally managed spend;
  • Provide input cost estimation according to budget planning process;
  • Develop & maintain relationships with key local stakeholders & HEINEKEN Global Procurement Category Team
  • Supplier Relationship Management and Contract Strategy definition
  • Category Project Management either for global or local projects, to transform and adjust processes and systems to business needs
  • Use all relevant data (provided globally or locally) to generate analysis on the Category, identifying opportunities for improvement and defining the best Strategy for the Category

We want you to bring:

  • Degree in Engineering, Management;
  • Minimum 3 years of recent Procurement experience (last 5 years);
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel;
  • Experience with SAP;
  • Portuguese (fluent);
  • English (B2).
