 Key Account Manager Modern Trade leads the customer Strategy, creating and implementing strategies to deliver category growth, market share, revenue and profitability growth for the National Accounts under responsibility, according to the channel strategy.

 

Who will you report to: Head of Modern Trade 

 

Location: Vialonga, Portugal

 

Your Responsibilities:

  • Contributes to the Modern Trade Strategy, by ensuring retail / customer understanding and creation of insights to translate into customer strategies, stronger business approach and customized activation plans;
  • Develop and implement annual Customer Business Plans line with Channel Strategy & priorities, focusing on the specific customer reality & needs, working in close collaboration with internal multi-functional teams and with the customer, to maximize its levels of satisfaction;
  • Translate the customer plan into channel Annual Plan Initiatives, annual Budget and monthly Rolling Forecast Process;
  • Propose/recommend customized and optimized promotional / activation plans in line with Revenue Margin Growth, Trade Marketing, Brand strategies and customer profile, ensuring high ROI (return on investment) brand activation plans;
  • Lead the relationship with customers: build and promote strong, long term sustainable business partnership with customers by partnering with them and understanding their needs, ensuring internal alignment with Category Management, Shoppers Marketing and Supply Chain, in order to be the preferred supplier;
  • Lead and influence innovation agenda for Accounts under own management, in order to grow the categories in our customers and channel;
  • Create and implement value business solutions for customers, making use of sales data to develop business plans / activations;
  • Use Strategic negotiation planning to ensure successful CGFs/annual agreements/JBPs, focusing on long term value creation;

 

We want you to bring:

  • 5-8 years of experience in Modern Trade, with mandatory 3y experience in account management roles (Mandatory);
  • Commercial & Business Acumen;
  • Advanced negotiation & infliuence skills;
  • Strong Analytical skills & strategic mindset;
  • Strong collaboration & problem solving mindset;
  • Strong track record of functional delivery;
  • Organization, Planning & Prioritization;
  • Portuguese (Native)
  • English (Mandatory)) and Spanish (preferred)
  • Have the necessary documentation to provid subordinate work in Portugal at the time of application (elimination factor)
