Your mission:

Execution Excellence is one of the main pillars of the Modern Trade strategy, crucial to ensure SCC share growth and customer & shoppers satisfaction.

The purpose of the job is driving growth through Superior Execution: define the Modern Trade Execution Strategy and lead the Field Team in order to maximize SCC share and value. Contribute to the category growth, through Best in Class In Store Execution, Picos excellence and great Customer & Shopper satisfaction.

Field Sales Manager ensures continuous improvement mindset in the team, by regular coaching and presence in the field.

Field Sales Manager operates at the local level and reports to the Head of Modern Trade.

Direct reports of the Field Sales Manager are Execution Managers.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Contributes to overall Modern Trade Strategy and Plan, with the definition of the Execution Vision, Strategy and initiatives for Modern Trade, aligned with the overall channel strategy goals: Superior Execution, Share, Volume & Revenue growth and cost optimization;

·       Define the Execution Strategy & and Field Model Architecture, in line with channel strategy and customer segmentation;

·       Define Execution Annual Plan and ensure implementation and monitorization; Define Field Sales Team Objectives according to Modern Trade Strategic Plan and Targets;

·       Ensures implementation of brand activation plans in collaboration with Category and Shopper Marketing teams;

  •        Monitor field sales team performance against objectives and take action where necessary to close field sales teams performance gaps;

·   Design and implement an optimized Field Sales structure, maximizing store coverage and visit frequency for Modern Trade stores;

  •      Ensure effective Field Sales Team capabilities (Processes, Systems & Tools, People - Structure, Competencies, Governance & Data) to deliver the Modern Trade Commercial strategy;
  • Define business requirements and collaborate with the procurement team in annual tenders (when applicable) for external service provider agencies, in order to reach best service-cost contracts;
  •      Lead business relationships with external partners, monitoring performance and defining action plans, ensuring effective communication, setting objectives, and clarifying responsibilities;
  • Lead continuous improvement for Field Sales and/or Execution Processes, constantly challenging the ways of working and ensuring full alignment with Channel strategy and Global Sales guidelines;

We want you to bring:

  • Master or Degree on Management, Business Administration, Economics, Marketing or similar
  • Minimum of 6 years professional experience;
  • Experience of the different areas of Account Management, Trade or Shopper Marketing and Revenue Management (at least one of the three areas requirement);
  • People Management and Team Leadership experience,  execution teams is a requirement;
  • Professional experience on FMCG (preferential);
  • Off Trade channel experience (preferential) ;
  • Customer Centric mindset;
  • Business Analytics, Sales Planning and Territory Management skills;
  • Planning and Organization skills;
  • Negotiation, Communication, Interpersonal and influencing skills;
  • Motivation, Coaching and Feedback skills;
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Power Point;
  • Fluent Portuguese & C1 English;
  • Driving licence (light vehicles; manual gearbox)
  • Availability to travel within Portuguese territory (+50% time in the field)
  • Have the necessary documentation to provid subordinate work in Portugal at the time of application (elimination factor)
