Sub Function: TPM (Total Productive Management)
Grade: D2

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

To ensure best practice processes and implementation of operational and TPM (Total Productive Management) related training activities, to drive continuous improvements as well as to support and standardise the functional pillar activities.
 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• A National Diploma in Engineering, Science or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience working within a manufacturing operational environment 
• Experience and knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies, ISO standards and TPM fundamentals   

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Drive the execution of the Supply Chain TPM strategy and methodology 
• Standardize functional pillar activities
• Lead continuous improvement projects in area of responsibility and ensure that assigned objectives are achieved
• Clearly define project targets, objectives and action plans
• Conduct weekly/monthly audits
• Ensure continuous improvements and implementation of identified corrective actions
• Prepare and present monthly project progress reports
• Plan and execute relevant training to teams (e.g. TPM fundamentals)
• Continuously coach and support teams to ensure effective application of TPM tools and techniques
