PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
Accountable for strategic HR partnership with business leaders, providing people direction to maximize performance, sound employee relations, high staff morale and devise functional strategy to unlock full potential of the talents through diversity and inclusion.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Post Graduate Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Humanity, Business or any other related field with 10 years’ experience in Human Resources, or in an Organisational Development/Effectiveness environment of which 5 years must be in leadership roles
- MBA will be advantageous
- Minimum of more than 5 years specialized experience in one or more of the following: Learning, Organisational Development & Design, Change Management, Organisational Effectiveness, Talent Management, Diversity, Well- being, Reward, HR Generalist
- Computer literate and technologically savvy in the general office management systems e.g. MS Office as well as HR Information Systems
- A valid driver’s license
- Sound knowledge of HR trends, best practices and procedures as well as appropriate labour legislation, e.g. Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Labour Relations Act, Employment Equity Act, etc.
- Strong relationship building experience with key stakeholders across departments to understand their needs and challenges
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Partner with leadership to align the HR strategy to the business strategy.
- Implementation as well as providing guidance on organisational development relating to org structures, job profiles, climate surveys, job evaluations etc.
- Coordinate the delivery of effective performance management.
- Prepare performance trend report and coach managers on the execution of performance improvement initiatives.
- Attract and retain top talent by identifying future talent, utilizing fit for purpose sourcing methods, completion of recruitment activities within targeted timelines, providing guidance on employment equity targets and preparing regular talent analysis reports.
- Responsible for driving the exit process of employees.
- Assess customer needs and recommend interventions.
- Cultivate good working relations and promote a positive and collaborative culture.
- Ensure consistent operational approach to ER issues and HR policy implementation.
- Monitor labour legislation developments and pro-actively identify appropriate strategies to ensure compliance and minimize business risk.
- Build and maintain harmonious and excellent relationships in the business.
