PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

To develop, improve, deploy, and coordinate NBL’s Talent and Leadership strategies, with a strong focus on talent management, performance management, learning, and organisational development. The role drives a future-fit organisation by shaping strategic talent practices, building leadership capability, supporting organisational change, and enabling a high-performance culture.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR / Industrial Psychology.
  • At least 8 years of HR experience, of which 5 years must be in Organisational Development.
  • Knowledge of the Namibian Labour Law, VET Levy Act, Employment Services Act, and Affirmative Action Act
  • Knowledge of budget preparation and strategic talent development.
  • Experience in Affirmative Action Reporting
  • Valid Driver’s license

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Shape and evolve NBL’s strategic Talent Management frameworks to ensure a future‑ready workforce that aligns with Heineken's global standards with local business needs.
  • Lead enterprise-wide talent planning and review cycles to ensure NBL has the capabilities required for short-, medium-, and long-term growth.
  • Monitor and interpret legislative changes, workforce trends, market practices, and organisational risks to sustain modern, competitive talent management.
  • Drive a high-performance culture by delivering Performance Management training, embedding performance governance, and building capability across all levels, including Executives.
  • Oversee talent assessment, deployment, development, and succession processes
  • Lead and continuously improve NBL’s Graduate, Internship, and Learnership programmes
  • Design and implement Leadership Development programmes that support NBL’s culture aspirations, leadership charter, and strategic priorities.
  • Partner with wellness service providers to ensure smooth execution of NBL’s holistic, compliant, and engaging wellness programme.
  • Lead Organisational Development initiatives, including organisational design, capability building, cultural alignment, and workforce transformation.
  • Drive change initiatives across the business, ensuring effective pacing, prioritisation, and alignment.
  • Compile and submit the annual Affirmative Action Report, including Understudy planning and compliance with national transformation requirements.
  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop the POD team to build strong capability in learning, talent management, and organisational development.
