PURPOSE 

The Channel Manager: Off Trade will lead the development and execution of commercial strategies and initiatives across off-trade channels to deliver sustainable revenue growth, market share gains and brand power growth. This role focuses on translating commercial plans into excellent executions at the point of sale, driving visibility, activation, and profitability in priority channels. The Off-trade is a critical business segment contributing significantly to volume and revenue. The position is key to unlocking growth opportunities through consumer and customer insights.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).
  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in Trade Marketing, Channel Management, or Sales within FMCG or Beverage industry.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing channel strategies and managing promotional activities against execution KPIs.
  • Strong understanding of route-to-market models, consumer and shopper insights, and channel profitability.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in data analytics and commercial planning tools.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Valid Driver’s License

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Lead the creation and implementation of off-trade channel strategies aligned with overall commercial objectives.
  • Drive brand power growth and market share gains by translating brand strategies into effective channel execution.
  • Provide insights into shopper and consumer behaviour, market trends, and competitive intelligence to shape channel plans as well as capture barriers and opportunities.
  • Translate strategies and insights into impactful executions at the point of sale, ensuring visibility and activation programs are delivered effectively.
  • Set execution standards for all BTL activities and drive adherence
  • Define and implement the channel’s Picture of Success (PICOS) across focus off-trade segments.
  • Manage zero-based budgeting for off-trade activities and ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Drive promotional ROI and ensure alignment with brand objectives.
  • Build trade marketing competencies within the team through coaching and training.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and external partners to ensure integrated commercial planning and execution.
  • Maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and regulatory bodies.
