Role purpose:
Digital & Technology (D&T) in HEINEKEN Ireland manages digital products, services, and drives innovation. The Technology Manager leads Infrastructure/IT Ops, sits on the Leadership Team, and liaises with the Tech Hub and suppliers. They coordinate meetings with Tech Hub, TP&S, and suppliers to review performance and resolve issues. The role ensures infrastructure services meet SLAs, standards, and business needs, offering advice and guidance. They plan and deliver infrastructure projects aligned with global D&T and local strategies, including cybersecurity oversight. The role owns the D&T relationship with Finance, HR, Legal & Corporate Affairs, driving demand and project delivery.
Key deliverables:
- Use agile principles to assess and prioritize infrastructure projects and services based on business impact, user feedback, and Supplier capacity.
- Provide continuous feedback to both Tech Hub & suppliers ensuring that agile processes are adhered to and that improvements are made when necessary.
- Prepare and present regular reports to senior management and other stakeholders on the status of agile service delivery, including sprint performance metrics, risks, and areas for improvement.
- Prepare input to annual plan in terms of both global & local Run Services and Change Plans
- Act as line manager for the Technology Specialist role
- Own the D&T relationship with the Finance, HR, Legal and Corporate Affairs functions, liaising across all D&T delivery lines
General Opco Technology Manager:
- Coordination & Service Delivery:
- Coordinate the delivery of infrastructure services from suppliers in iterative sprints, ensuring timely and high-quality outputs that meet business needs.
- Responsible for Local services including the following:
- Technology asset management, pc support/build, device compliance, JML support
- Meeting room Audio/Visual, printing facilities
- Comms room cabinet provision
- OS and firmware management
- Technology debt management (physical hardware upgrades)
- Responsible for delivery of the following cybersecurity activities
- Security Awareness Training (incl. PCD Training)
- Security patch and vulnerability assessment
- Security evidence compliance delivery
- Access Management
- IT Continuity/DRP
- Solution Risk Management
- Audit Coordination
- BCP & DRP Coordination
- Security Incident Response planning & testing
- Support delivery of security-related projects
- Lead Azure PaaS delivery for HIL
- Translate business requirements into actionable tasks for Tech Hub & TP&S Supplier, ensuring they align with infrastructure capabilities
- Monitor supplier performance and sprint progress, adjusting as necessary to keep projects on track and within scope.
- Act as local PM for change initiatives impacting OpCo stakeholders
- Decision-Making and Prioritization:
- Facilitate rapid decision-making processes to resolve conflicts or address changes in project scope
- Prioritize the backlog, ensuring that the most critical infrastructure tasks are addressed first – in line with company strategy
- Risk Management and Issue Resolution:
- Identify and manage potential risks in service delivery, developing proactive strategies to mitigate these risks in an agile manner.
- Lead the resolution of any service delivery issues that arise during sprints, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Ensure that all agile decisions and actions comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Continuous Improvement and Innovation:
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by incorporating feedback from sprint reviews, retrospectives, and user feedback.
- Stay informed about the latest agile infrastructure technologies and trends, providing insights and recommendations to the Tech Hub & TP&S Supplier.
- Collaborate with Tech Hub & TP&S Supplier to explore innovative solutions and processes that enhance infrastructure delivery and efficiency.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Ensure transparency in all agile processes, keeping accurate records of decisions, priorities, and progress.
- Business Relationship Management
- Manage D&T relationship with Finance, HR, Legal and Corporate Affairs function
- Engage with these functions to understand demand, agree priorities and coordinate delivery
- D&T Leadership
- Support D&T Director with overall leadership of function
- As part of LT, determine functional mission, cascade to team and communicate with business functions
- Responsible for delivery of D&T Mission as part of D&T LT
- Own and drive function-wide initiatives as determined by D&T LT
- Budget & Annual Planning Input
- Own/prepare/review input for Technology global & local run and change costs as part of annual planning process
- Own/prepare/review input for D&T projects related to Finance, HR, Legal & CA functions
- Manage technology run budget with continued effort to reduce fixed costs.
- People Management
- Responsible for all aspects of performance and development for Technology Specialist role
- Role in leadership team to role model HIL behaviours & values, creating a highly effective team
Experience:
- Excellent facilitation, presentation, and analysing skills; highly structured.
- Recognizing the corporate strategy.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate well with technical & non-technical people.
- Is a team player and can work effectively with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus.
- Be able to identify and understand multiple stakeholder perspectives and "truths" and bring an open mind to understanding and build on the views of others.
- Working with multi-disciplinary teams to craft IT solutions.
- Preferably experience with working in an Agile environment.
- 10+ years’ experience in IT Operations field including 5+ years’ working with external vendors, resources and contracts
