Role Purpose:
Managing the maintenance, CAPEX, IFM & engineering department in a safe and efficient way ; i.e. with the focus on creating and/or sustaining a safe environment to work in and restoring the assets to basic condition while improving overall reliability.
Accountabilities:
Safety, Food safety & Sustainability
- Ensures safe working in engineering (is accountable).
- Leads Safety diagnostics based in safety reports and inspections.
- Trained Permit Approver (Confined Space, Line Breaking, Working at Heights, General)
- LOTOTO back-up owner.
- Manages (CAPEX) projects in a safe manner.
- Leads the Process Safety elements of the Brewery
- Ensure Safety compliancy of the Brewery
Quality
- Manages and ensures CAPEX projects delivered on time in full (OTIF) and with the required safety, quality and financial requirements
- Supports Instruments Calibration process.
- Ensuring key systems are up to date with ((CAPEX) project information e.g. SNOW, Finance trackers.
Work Processes
- Owns CAPEX Budget of the OpCo
- Ensuring reporting to SCD and peers on timely basis to ensure OTIF projects are delivered
- Leads the engineering department.
- Hands over project deliverables to AM teams to Heineken Standard. Which is with proper training, training material (SOPs), Spare-part plan etc.
- Hands over project deliverables to PM teams (troubleshooting guides).
- Defines and trains BDA, MSAS (minor stops analysis), RCFA (5 why) methodology.
- Ensures warranties process is followed.
- Approves procurement of parts and services.
- Supports asset permit (license to operate).
- Supports strategic supplier management and evaluation.
- Manages the Integrated Facility Management (IFM) for the OpCo.
- Manages contracts for engineering service providers in the Brewery.
- Manage grant applications for engineering projects from state agencies
Organization, Interfaces & People Management
- Leads the engineering department. Accountable for performance and technical development (incl. performance reviews) of engineering organization.
- Manages proper handover of CAPEX projects to maintenance and operations.
- Aligns with Packaging & Maintenance Manager
- Accountable for all interfaces within maintenance and between the maintenance department and other departments within the brewery.
- Represents Engineering and process safety in the Production Meetings.
- Ensures implementation of defined best practices.
- Executes the Leadership performance management (MYR and EYR).
- Follow-up with PDPs on department to stimulate peoples aspirations
TPM & Continuous Improvement
- PM pillar back-up leader and actively participates in PM Pillar
- Ensures proper handover of projects using TPM tools (SOP/OPL).
- Support on training for AM and PM
- Interprets and clarifies the key strategic drivers as defined in the Leadership Pillar.
- Defines roles and responsibilities based upon the capability framework, including support of AM and PM roll out and plan to close the gaps.
- Assigns clear roles & responsibilities for routine maintenance activities, including suppliers.
Information & Data Management
- Implements the management system and ensures CMMS routines are ready for implementation after each project.
- Actively support other departments in the generation of (CAPEX) project information in preparation for the AP & SP
Education and Experience
- Minimum Bachelor, preferably MSc degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical Engineering and/or similar.
- >4 years management experience, preferably in a technical/operational surrounding.
- Proven track record in people management (getting things done within a group/team).
- Ambassador for enabling a safe and quality controlled working environment (leads by example).
- Minimum of 4 years experience & knowledge of maintenance (engineering) and/or operations, also from a strategic point of view: ability to setup and drive (strategic) improvement initiatives and manage changes from the shop floor within the department.
- Enabler to effectively work together between different directly related departments (i.e. procurement, operations, finance).
- Focused on and experienced in managing and controlling the 6 core work processes within engineering. maintenance engineering, materials & parts supply, inventory management, asset master data management and cost management.
- Ample working experience with CMMS. Ability to support, manage and coach the ME (master data owner) in properly setting up the required master data structure and preventive maintenance regime within the system.
- Experienced in conducting BDA-analysis and training other BDA facilitators; i.e. good training skills.
- Excellent communication-, management-, facilitation- and reporting skills.
- Ability to effectively show/visualize the added value of maintenance (foundation) activities in relation to improving maintenance performance (can explain the required strategy to the team and other departments and create buy-in).
- Ample knowledge of TPM and (other) continuous improvement methods.
