Procurement Manager

In this role you will lead our local procurement team and ensure competitive advantage of global and local bids, adherence to strong process and internal controls while delivering quality, reliability, performance and cost efficiency across all operations. You will be reporting to the Finance Director.

Your role responsibilities:
- Support the Global Director of Procurement Services in the local implementation and execution of procurement policy
- Lead contracting activities, develop local sourcing strategies and support category-specific strategies
- Set annual goals for the procurement team and ensure the availability of requirements and conditions for our company before the tender procedure
- Announce tenders, negotiate and assist in supplier selection as needed
- Ensure contracts meet local requirements, are executed properly and deliver expected benefits
- Manage relationships with suppliers on a daily basis, improve performance and maintain key stakeholder relations
- Lead local quality improvement projects and contribute to global initiatives
- Manage procurement subordinates: support their professional development and manage procurement stuffing needs
- Monitor the local procurement team’s financial performance and set targets
- Lead local improvement and recruitment plans for the purchasing area
- Maintain personal development goals
Requirements:
- University education in Business, Finance, Commercial, Economic or Technical field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in purchasing/procurement preferably within an FMCG company focused on beverages
- Experience working in multinational organizations
- Strong understanding of indirect and direct procurement processes
- Strong leadership skills – ability to manage and motivate senior category managers
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
- Excellent organizational skills
- Flexible with the ability to work effectively under pressure and manage conflicting priorities
- Affinity to manage procurement systems
- Fluency both in English and in Hungarian is a must
- Driving license
