This role Provides expert legal support to all functions within Heineken Hungary. Defines legal strategy, aligned with and supportive of strategy of Heineken Hungary.

This is a Senior Management role, reporting directly to the Managing Director and part of the Extended Management Team.

Your responsibilities would include:

• Provides expert legal support to all functions within Heineken Hungary, defines legal strategy aligned with and support he company strategy
• Supports the protection of IP and knowhow, innovations and labelling
• Ensures compliance with employment law, supports People function in Employee relation matters
• Gives strategic advice in respect of policies and guidelines to manage legal risk
• Achieves a maximum level of competition law compliance, including creating awareness and giving training
• Ensures compliance with GDPR and other legislation
• Dispute Resolution: advising and assisting with litigation, arbitration, mediation, expert determination, etc. 
• Monitors new legislation and other legal developments and is proactive in the dissemination of relevant legal information to those who may benefit from such information, including by way of training and seminars for business colleagues and periodic legal audits
• Business Conduct: achieving a maximum level of compliance with Heineken Code of Business Conduct
• Manages permits, health & safety, label requirements; contact person for regulatory authorities
• Responsible for managing and coordinating the activities of external solicitors; exercises firm financial control in respect of external lawyers
  
  

Requirements:

• Law Degree in Hungary
• Sufficient post qualification experience in a legal firm or the legal department of a company (>7)
• A wide breadth of general commercial legal experience in relevant areas is required
• Experience in competition law
• Excellent communication, team working and influencing skills
• Real attention to detail and the ability to develop solutions for complex multi-dimensional business issues, often under time and cost pressure
• Acts and thinks commercially but has an independent mind. Has the courage and independence to speak-up and challenge stakeholders
• Desire to engage with stakeholders at all levels of the business, and to develop a profound understanding of the OpCo and of the brewing industry.
• Identifies and anticipates trends of an ever changing (legal) landscape
• Digitally adept in respect of general and legal tech
• Proficient both in English and in Hungarian
