This role ensures HEINEKEN Hungary has the capabilities and enablers needed for digital transformation, including technology, processes, skills, culture, and ways of working. It holds end-to-end responsibility for defining and executing the Digital & Technology strategy, governance, and service scope—ensuring secure, reliable IT operations and effective delivery of the D&T project portfolio. This role also develops the Digital & Technology function as a strong business partner, enabling growth, profitability, and sustainability through high-quality technology platforms, integrated processes, and data-driven insights from a single source of truth.
 
This is a Senior Management role, reporting directly to the Managing Director and part of the Extended Management Team.

 

Your responsibilities would include:

  • Develops a co-created three-year Digital & Technology Strategic plan and budget in line with Operational Company Strategy and with the regional transformation journey; this includes the strategic focus on becoming data-driven
  • Partners with functional areas and key stakeholders and technical leaders to identify and plan capabilities necessary to meet short and long-term business needs
  • Develops and executes strategic plans in support of key objectives in a timely and fiscally responsible manner
  • Informs and drives strategic alignment and partnerships within the Management Team, Leadership Team and functional areas
  • Connects the dots across multiple levels and related functions to understand the business holistically and leverage Digital & Tech Strategic initiatives and its added value to the business
  • Advises the Managing Director and Management Team on Digital & Tech business development and project implementation within the business
  • Support digital and data transformation
  • Brings in and champions new ways of working and advise on external trends and developments whilst contextualizing it into relevant business insights
  • Translate business needs into improvement initiatives, driving operational excellence to meet strategic and operational goals while prioritizing customer value
  • Leads the definition of new organizational sets, the definition of requirements and formulates service level agreements (SLA) with in- and external parties
  • Ensures that strategic vendor relationships are established and influences vendors to align to domain, portfolio, and enterprise strategic objectives
  • Gather, interpret and identify digital, data-driven and technology needs and trends within HEINEKEN and in the market, to recommend measures to the process owner if necessary
  • Provides leadership, mentoring, and coaching to direct reports and overall department staff

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree
  • Minimum 6-10 years of relevant experience
  • Experienced within a fast-paced environment and knowledgeable in agile leadership
  • Solid track record of running mid to big size system change management programmes
  • Proficient in defining, communicating, and driving value propositions, success metrics, and outcomes
  • Proficient in shaping, aligning, and guiding execution of strategic direction for a domain or significant portfolio segment
  • Proficient in communicating, building influence, and developing relationships with functional and technical leaders, with high-level vendor partners and across all levels in the organization
  • Proficient in selecting and leading strategic vendor relationships or acting as the primary point of contact for strategic partnerships
  • Proficient in utilizing deep market and industry knowledge for a related portfolio segment or domain to achieve strategic objectives
  • Experience in international complex multidisciplinary project management
  • Experience in organizational programmes (e.g. digital transformation, data driven organizations)
  • Solid understanding of core business processes, process outsourcing and state of the art technology
  • Solid understanding of development of digital capabilities
  • Builds, inspires and develops effective teams
  • Proficient both in English and in Hungarian
