RESPONSIBILITIES FOR ALL BRANA EMPLOYEES
- Works actively towards the achievement of the BRANA and Heineken Objectives.
- Works in accordance with BRANA and Heineken principles, attitudes, and core values.
- Maintain the workspace and tools in good condition.
- Comply with Safety, Security, Industrial Hygiene, and BRANA rules and standards.
- Performs other duties assigned by the supervisor.
JOB SUMMARY
The Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining health and safety programs to ensure compliance with legal requirements and company standards. This role promotes a proactive safety culture and minimizes risks across all operations.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Policy & Compliance
- Develop and enforce health and safety policies aligned with local regulations and global standards
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements and internal safety protocols.
Risk Management
- Conduct regular risk assessments and hazard analysis.
- Implement corrective and preventive measures to reduce workplace incidents.
Training & Awareness
- Design and deliver safety training programs for employees and contractors.
- Promote behavioral safety and continuous improvement initiatives.
Incident Investigation
- Investigate accidents and near misses, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate safety records and reporting systems.
Audits & Inspections
- Perform routine safety audits and inspections of facilities and equipment.
- Coordinate with external agencies for regulatory inspections.
Emergency Preparedness
- Develop and test emergency response plans.
- Organize drills and ensure readiness for crisis situations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 – 4 years in a safety management role, ideally in manufacturing or supply chain environments.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
