Procurement Manager

Context

• We are looking for a highly ambitious, motivated Procurement Manager with traits of resilience, dedication, communication & capability building to join the team of Brarudi S.A
• The position is located in Bujumbura, Burundi
• This is a job grade 25 position with expatriate contract conditions (24 months).
• Due to the country constraints on hard currencies, the procurement manager plays a critical role in the OpCo capacity to keep on performing in a competitive environment.

Responsibilities  

1. Lead, manage & develop the local Procurement team. 
2. Deliver competitive advantage & value to the opco based on Global, Regional & Local Procurement strategies.
3. Drive an efficient cost and cash strategy while taking into consideration local sourcing and FX avoidance as a priority.
4. Manage tendering, negotiations, supplier selection & ensure contract compliance.
5. Ensure continuous improvement with the Source to Pay processes and compliance with governance & internal controls.
6. Others if required.

Qualifications & required skills

• Degree in business, finance, or related field
• Strong Procurement, Supply-Chain and Project management skills
• Capacity to evolve in a complex and ever-changing business environment.
• Strong communication & stakeholder management skills with an ability to navigate between different cultures, levels of expertise and seniority.
• Line Management Experience
• French & English speaking is required.
