Modelling Analyst


Are you a student, passionate about modelling and systems related to business and looking for an experience in an international environment?


HGP is the global procurement organization of Heineken, responsible for sourcing the best materials and services to all Heineken entities around the world. HGP provides regular forecast to its serviced entities around the world on the cost of materials in the future. Such projections are complex. It considers multiple parameters such as quantities, INCOTERMS, commodity development… For that purpose, it has implemented a modelling tool called Anaplan. In this internship, you will be working closely with the Business Analysts as well as the Global Buyers and Risk Manager to simulate future price movements and business scenarios to support the business.


The internship is based in Zoeterwoude (between Amsterdam and The Hague) and available per June 3rd for the duration of 6 months.


Please note that all interns must be enrolled at a university for the entire duration of the internship. You will need to provide a proof of enrolment with your application. Applications without this will not be considered.

Your responsibilities

In this internship you will be responsible for:

  • Analysing the relevance of the current models vs the actual business set-up
  • Investigating potential inconsistencies in the model as part of the forecasting cycles
  • Developing solutions to enhance the efficiency/quality of controls to improve the quality of the end data
  • Developing/improving models for new applications relevant to the business


Your profile

You are a student in a relevant field of study (computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related) and you have the following:

  • Comfortable with systems
  • Strong analytical skills and accuracy in work
  • Knowledge in coding is desirable
  • Ambition to grow in systems/ IT in relation to business/FMCG. Motivation to make a difference/go the extra mile
  • A pragmatic approach with a can-do mentality
  • Ability to prioritize and to work in a structured way on projects and individually
  • Exceptional team player capability and eagerness to learn, share knowledge
  • Proficiency in English: written, spoken and interpersonal
