Title:  Team Leader - Brewing

PURPOSE OF JOB

  • Lead the team in the brewing production to achieve planned volumes in accordance with standards and procedures.
  • Plan and follow up on material stock level to ensure availability for production
  • Data analysis on losses, recommend and implement improvement actions
  • Propose and execute equipment and process modifications
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement activities through TPM

 

MAJOR ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Supply beers to packaging according to plan at the right quantities and quality

  • Plan/direct and control shift resources, activities to produce beer according to set Quality and Quantity requirement.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot on non-conformance process/products to initiate preventive and corrective actions.
  • Co-ordinate with Planning/Packaging Department on beer supplies to ensure sufficient bright beer.

 

Achieve OPI target set by Brewing dept

  • Communicate closely with all team leaders and members on day to day work related issues, based on customer-supplier relationship to sustain high productivity.
  • Prepare and review daily production reports and initiate appropriate actions where necessary to prevent the recurrence of quality issues, wastage or production downtime.
  • Control and review the execution of sampling and cleaning by Process Technicians in accordance to the defined plans and procedures.
  • Assist the Manager in review, setting or updating the departments’ targets, objectives, plan and activities.

 

Minimize losses to meet SDC Budget
  • Prepare and review daily production reports and initiate appropriate actions where necessary to prevent the recurrence of quality issues, wastage or production downtime.

 

Good housekeeping and safe working environment

  • Review and improve on work methods and ensure strict compliance with housekeeping and safety procedures.
  • To ensure that Brewing dept is clean to the specified standards of the company according to TPM principles.

 

Career development for subordinates

  • To train , develop and coach subordinates by identifying and indicating their training needs, in order to maintain a highly motivated and flexible team.
  • To perform appraisels and follow up on regular base.

 

Continuous improvement

  • Guarantee the compliance to the ISO and HACCP Quality Management system.
  • Coordinate with Team Leader (Support) and Engineering Support on the execution of Maintenance/PM and projects.
  • Direct and control Autonomous Maintenance and Small Group Activities within his process areas.
  • Co-ordinate and participate in PM activities in the dept.
