Title: Supply Planning Lead
Team Lead
- Mentor, coach and develop Supply and Material Planners
- Set performance KPls and measure individual performance accordingly; conduct mid-year and year-end appraisal of all direct reports
- Develop service procedures, policies and standards
- Ensure continuous learning and improvements of the Supply Planning Team
- Own and facilitate the execution of the end-to-end Supply Plan – to create an optimal inventory and production plan to achieve required customer service level, taking into account production constraints and available resources.
Scenario Analysis & Project Management
- Champion and manage all supply-related projects and business cases including NPIs, capex plans, new production and packaging capabilities, etc
- Lead S&OP Supply Review meetings, HAP Bev S&OP, Weekly Alignment Reviews (WARM) and relevant supply topics including but not limited to shortage of supply, out of stock, case full rate, MOQ, production lead times, etc
Packaging Material Planning
- Work closely with stakeholders (Planners, Packaging, Warehouse, Suppliers, etc.) on planning for packaging materials for production
- To maintain and allocate (packaging material) volumes to suppliers based on HGP contracted quantities and balance/ diversify source of supplies
- Follow up timely delivery of all materials from suppliers planned for production - includes overseas suppliers, liaising with shipping lines or freight forwarders to ensure availability of materials for production
- Liaise with 3rd party logistics service provider (e.g. CWT or YCH) to truck in containers from port to our warehouse or desired loading location
- Maintain MRP data in Planning System – FuturMaster, where applicable
- Expedite urgent deliveries from suppliers to meet urgent production where necessary
- Work with regional OpCos to source supplies urgently or assist with OpCos’ request for materials
- Coordinate returns and replacement of defective materials to suppliers
- Maintain safety stocks and targeted stock level at all times and minimize write-offs, taking into consideration working capital requirements and warehouse capacity
- Participate in yearly Standard Material Pricing (SMP) reviews and Requirements & Conditions (R&C)/ Anaplan reporting for packaging materials
- Participate in and provide feedback for packaging material supplier evaluation with users
- Provide input in developing strategies for inventory control, new product introduction and delistment of products where necessary
- Maintain SOP/ ISO documentation for supply/material planning process
- Perform related tasks as assigned
Continuous Improvement
- Participate in and champion TPM Plan Pillar and RPM Pillar
- Analyze material and RPM planning, performance data (weekly, monthly, yearly), process, timelines and stakeholders management and propose to management on opportunities for further improvements, aiming to reduce/ optimize costs and labour and to improve process and performance
- Lead Plan Pillar and RPM Pillar TPM Projects; guide and work with team members to execute improvement plans
- Contribute to achievement of performance indicators (such as Case Fill Rate, NPI OTIF and Supplier, where relevant), and advice and / or initiate action towards improvement
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Economics, Finance or Business Administration
- Competent computer proficiency (Microsoft Office)
- Experience in statistical forecasting and understanding of financial and operational impacts of forecasting
EXPERIENCE:
- 4 - 5 years of relevant experience in supply planning, preferably in FMCG industry
- MRP experience preferred
- Prior experience within procurement function advantageous
- Competent computer proficiency (Microsoft Office)
