Title:  Senior Business Analyst (Strategic Business Control)

PURPOSE OF JOB:  

Reporting to the Commercial Business Controller, the incumbent is responsible for the business partnering functions with Commercial (Marketing / Trade Marketing/ Sales (On/Off Trade)) with added responsibility to support budget and strategic planning that is submitted to APAC Region and Heineken Global Company.

 

MAJOR ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  1. Active finance business partnering and close collaboration with assigned Commercial Function (Sales/Marketing) in tracking commercial spend and giving budget advice
  2. Provide financials inputs and analysis, integrating broader knowledge of consumer trends, industry/ market developments and any further insights from sales and marketing, for management reporting, managerial decision making and substantiation of trade term/contract negotiations as and when required
  3. Participate in monthly closing review process via reviewing accruals and performing analysis on volume and financial performance in assigned function to maintain control and ensure business performance is in line with forecasts. Critically analyse performance metrics and efficacy of investment levers, look into areas to drive cost efficiencies and detect any risk and opportunities to act upon
  4. Develop business cases and scenario simulations for both short term tactical activities and long term strategic initiatives
  5. Monitor the business activities and developments within initiatives launched, identify and communicate trends and issues affecting the business/project and work closely with Commerce in formulating mitigation or acceleration plans
  6. Support preparation and finalization of planning cycle output (monthly rolling forecast/strategic plan/annual budgeting) to be submitted to APAC Region and Heineken Global Company and coordinate with other areas of Finance and Commerce functions to ensure quality and timeliness of deliverables
  7. Examine informational needs and create actionable reports to enable tracking against goals, complete with insightful recommendations
  8. Conduct product pricing and profitability analysis in close cooperation with the Revenue Management Function
  9. Review and approve commercial projects/contracts, providing analysis and recommendation to the responsible functional areas on ways to enhance profitability and commercial feasibility.
  10. Perform related duties as assigned.

 

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:

Tertiary qualification in Business-related discipline.

 

 

EXPERIENCE:  

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in auditing and/or management accounting/ budgeting background
  • Relevant commercial finance business partnering experience in retail/FMCG environment is a plus

 

JOB RELATED KNOWLEDGE/ SPECIFIC SKILLS:

  1. Technical expertise in management accounting and P&L analysis
  2. Knowledge and understanding of the role of Finance Business Partner in the commercial arena
  3. Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
