Title:  Packaging Team Leader

Result          Pack according to plan and at the right quantities and quality

          Activities

  1. To meet production packaging requirements by scheduling and directing the production of packed beer products according to packaging scheduled plan.
  2. To ensure packed finished products are produced according to desired packaging plan and specifications and set standards and guarantee compliance with ISO/ HACCP Quality Management system.
  3. To check, coordinate and ensure with other teams on the availability of beer, packaging materials and utilities to the correct specifications to meet the production plan.
  4. To ensure team performance to meet the right sales quality finished product, conformance to non-bio and bio specifications with “zero” defects and minimized external complaint.
     
    Result          To achieve OPI target of packaging lines
              Activities
  1. To communicate closely with team leaders and colleagues on day to day work related issues, based on customer-supplier relationship to sustain high productivity.
  2. To improve on packaging operational efficiency and effectivity wherever possible according to TPM principles and to minimize the Operational hour loss and conformed to Packaging Schedule.
  3. To check and correct operating conditions of machines and equipment, assist in the planned maintenance and breakdown repairs by deploying resources to support where necessary. 
  4. To manage the packaging personnel, packaging equipment and empties store so as to achieve packaging team targets.
     
    Result          To minimize losses in packaging materials and line efficiency

  1. To identify and minimize losses in production materials and line efficiency according to TPM principles.
  2. To prepare and review daily production reports and initiate appropriate actions where necessary to prevent the recurrence of quality issues, wastage or line downtime.

  1. To ensure strict compliance with housekeeping and safety procedures.
  2. To ensure that the packaging lines are properly cleaned to the specified standards of the company according to TPM principles.

  1. To train, develop and coach subordinates by identifying and indicating their training needs, in order to maintain a motivated and flexible team.
  2. To perform appraisals and follow up on half yearly basic.

  1. To write, maintain, review and implement specified packaging procedures and controls to meet the company’s and APBS’s standards in compliance with ISO / HACCP Quality systems and conform corporate rules, guidelines and instructions.
  2. To assist and advice management in setting/ updating targets, plans and activities.
  3. To initiate TPM teams to eliminate re-occurring problems and to optimize our packaging process.
  4. To participate in TPM activities as the Pillar member to use advance tools to analyze and improve OPI,  Performance and Cost.

  1. To control the Packaging conformance to schedule, minimize waste and line rejects in accordance to the departmental KPIs; reduction in reworks and achieve zero hour losses in OPI plan vs actual.
  2. To control and minimize overtimes to the effective way of cost control for production, planning and wastage with reduction of external complaints and reworks.

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:

Preferably degree/diploma in Production Management / Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or similar.

 

EXPERIENCE:  

5 years working experience in a food manufacturing environment, manufacturing environment with packaging environment or similar.

 

JOB RELATED KNOWLEDGE/ SPECIFIC SKILLS: 

•           Able to communicate effectively with good command of written and spoken English.

•           Knowledge of QA/QC process.

•           Basic knowledge of the brewing process.

•           Computer knowledge in Word and Excel.
