Title:  Manager - Trade Marketing (MOB)

PURPOSE OF JOB: 

 

This competitive environment is rapidly changing and with that also its customer’s and consumer’s needs. Because of these developments, APBS is looking to recruit a Trade Marketing Manager, On trade. This person will be responsible for building our important brands in the key segments, creating a win-win situation for customers, consumers and APBS. The majority of the job focuses on creating value added propositions for our customers. Building partnerships through distribution, visibility and activation is what the job is all about. The incumbent shall create an integrated sales and marketing plan, driving positive results on sales, execution and category growth.

 

MAJOR ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 

As Trade Marketing Manager, Modern On trade, you will be part of the Trade Marketing team. This team works pre-dominantly close with Marketing and Sales. The incumbent is expected to initially build strategic & executional plans, with strong alignment amongst all stakeholders. Sales, marketing, trade marketing, customers, consumers, creative agencies, event partners, influencers, many different parties will be part of everyday business. You will report directly to the Senior Trade Marketing Manager.

 

Planning & Briefing

1.    Serve as a focal point for the creation of customer-focused channel marketing programs consistent with brand management’s overall strategies and approved trade budget

2.    Define, build and implement channel strategy, plans and programs with Brands and Sales based on consumers/shopper understanding, channel, brand and business priorities as well as category growth drivers.

3.    Identify brand opportunities by segment growth trends and consumption opportunities

 

Operations: Execution & Evaluation

4.    Manages all activities and brief the relevant teams to deliver desired results on time and within budget.

5.    Monitor the progress of the promotion and implementation on trade.

6.    Reviews the process and post evaluation of activities and creates new ways of working to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of future promotions.

7.    Measures and calculates ROI for the activity.

8.    Uses shopper insight and business strategy to deliver or develop the appropriate visibility strategy to consumer while meeting customer specifications.

9.    Drive successful internal and customer coordination and implementation of marketing materials, e.g. POS, merchandise, etc. across the Channels, through outstanding leverage execution and tracking of channel marketing activities.

 

 

EXPERIENCE:  

 

Minimum 5 years of Trade Marketing or Sales management/marketing experience within the On Trade environment or consumer goods industry. Experience in analysis of business problems and developing solutions, and market segmentation and financial analysis required.

 

JOB RELATED KNOWLEDGE/ SPECIFIC SKILLS:

 

  1. Trade Marketing or On Trade experience is an advantage. Strong knowledge of consumer and customer needs. Knows what’s hot and happening in current Singaporean Modern on-trade market.
  2. Experience in building long term commercial relations and able to create a win-win situation as well as demands for 50-50% partnership.
  3. Candidate should have (Trade) Marketing affinity: enjoys storytelling and is passionate for building brands and concepts.
