Title:  HR Operations Manager

Reporting to the HR Director, you will manage the HR Operations team to ensure high quality, timely and efficient delivery of payroll services and HR/benefits administration for more than 800 employees. You will champion automation and digitization opportunities to enable operational efficiencies, while leveraging HR technology to uplift business capability, drive operational excellence and a deliver a great user experience. You will also develop a people-first culture that emphasizes credibility, courage and connectivity with your key customers, who include teammates from within the HR, Finance and the Global/Regional teams that provide the HR technology platforms.

 

YOUR ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 

Payroll Management

  • Ensure the timely and accurate management of all payroll-related activities, transactions updates, records and reporting requirements, both internal and statutory.
  • Ensure accuracy in payments and deductions, compliance with legislative requirements (e.g. tax filing, CPF contributions), salary accruals, GL account management and journals, reconciliations and audits.
  • Ensure compliance with local legislation and best practices on payroll and wages.

 

Benefits/Welfare Programme Management

  • Ensure smooth operational execution of the company’s benefits and employee welfare programmes, such as flexible benefits, leave management, and medical and insurance programmes.
  • Deliver employee services via strong partnership with outsourced programme vendors.
  • Collaborate with the Rewards team to operationalize and implement benefits programmes and enhancements.

 

HRIS Expert

  • Represent the company as super-user at Global/Regional forums for system-related projects.
  • Evaluate and manage the impact of system enhancements when triggered by the Global/Regional team, and project-manage implementation of changes.
  • Advocate good data management practices with accurate and timely employee records in the HR systems, while ensuring compliance with regulatory, compliance and policy standards.

 

HR Operations

  • Drive excellent execution of HR operational processes to provide an exceptional employee experience from hiring and onboarding to exit.
  • Enhance and enable operational efficiencies through automation and digitization opportunities to extract the best value for the organisation.
  • Act as a specialist and first contact for all global mobility-related arrangements in Singapore for inbound and outbound expatriates and assignees, working with relevant firms and agencies to facilitate smooth assignments.

 

YOU NEED: 

 

  • At least 7 years of hands-on experience in HR, spending most of it in an HR operations management capacity.
  • A degree in Business, HR or equivalent.
  • Profound knowledge in the specific HR functional areas of HR operations, payroll and benefits management, and HRIS, with an exceptional desire to innovate and try new and different ideas and ways of working.
  • Familiarity of Singapore employment, CPF and Income Tax-related laws and regulations, and competent experience and understanding of other HR functional areas such as grievance handling, disciplinary procedures and employee relations.
  • Experience in system implementation/enhancement and process improvement in SAP SuccessFactors and Timesoft will be an advantage.
  • Ability to balance planning and strategizing work with hands-on and practical application, while being comfortable with making independent decisions, evaluating and managing conflicting priorities, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
  • Ability to build authentic and effective relationships within and outside the business and HR organization.
