Title:  Senior Trade Intelligence Manager

Job description:

Provide analytical solutions and data-driven insights for channel strategy, commercial calendar planning and annual channel process cycle. Cooperate with HVB data owners in HO & Regions and external vendors to acquire, organize and process channel & shopper data within one, centralized center. Provide analysis & insights for impact & ROI evaluation of channel standards, activities & promotions. Support channel teams with ad-hoc analysis & promote data-driven way of working.

- Manage day-to-day data acquisition, organization (incl. connecting multiple-source data) and processing within one, centralized center; support trade insight process

- Provide analytics & insight generation to support annual channel & commercial calendar planning process

- Provide analytics & insight generation to support quarterly channel reviews at HO / regions

- Provide inputs for ROI / efficiency evaluation across channel activities & presence (i.e. PICOS)

- Data/research vendor management

- Ad-hoc analytical support to channel & brand teams

- Recommend improvements to data-driven process, systems & insight application


Job Requirements:

- University degree in business administration, social science or engineering (preferred, not required)

- FMCG industry commercial experience of min. 3 years

- Trade marketing, sales or CMI background with a proven track-record in analytical role, working with acquiring & organizing data, insight application and formulating data-driven biz implications

- Drives to win, able to distill and define objectives from broad directions, organize time & resources and motivate others towards achieving these objectives

- Adapts well, overcomes obstacles & defines trade-off choices and alternative solutions if faced with barriers

- Leads by accountability, focuses on tasks end-to-end, holds self & others accountable

- Team-player, knows how to generate support and manage cross-functionally without hierarchy, able to ask for help and recognize others’ contributions

- Connected to current news & developments, actively demonstrates knowledge of broad business, retail and social/cultural trends

well-organized and dependable, manages well timelines and milestones, creates visibility on projects & deliverables, communicates risks early and proactively manages alignment between stakeholders

- Native speaker / fluent in Vietnamese

- At least upper intermediate in English

- Understands and demonstrates basic knowledge of shopper research, Nielsen retail audit, Kantar household panel, trade census

- Understands and demonstrates basic knowledge of activity ROI & promotional efficiency analyses

- Understands and demonstrates practical knowledge of channel analytics (landscape, performance, trends) and segmentation process

- Strong stakeholder management skills

- Strong analytical skills, sees & extracts insights from data early, connects data trends with in-market developments, able to formulate data-driven and future facing conclusions

- Practical thinker, manages complexity by focusing on simple solution, compares alternatives before choice, able to sacrifice parts of perfect plan for a more efficient solution

- Software-literacy, MS Office with excellent .xls proficiency, MS BI tool suite, ORACLE/JDE environment, QlikSense environment
