Title:  Talent Acquisition Manager

Are you ready to lead the Talent Acquisition team and engage the best talent out there for HEINEKEN in the Netherlands?

As Talent Acquisition Manager, you take the lead in building an effective recruiting team & strategy for the 4 entities (Heineken Netherlands, Vrumona, HEINEKEN Netherlands Supply and of HEINEKEN Global (HQ) the Netherlands. This role combines the skills of a Top recruiter with strong stakeholder management, a leader with outstanding people skills and the ability to assess business opportunities and align them with strategic business goals and Employee Value proposition.

Your overall assignment is to build a recruitment team and develop and implement processes & methods. After defining the strategy and made sure our recruitment basics are in line with our Global practices. Together with the businesses you will bring refreshed look at our Employer Brand in the Netherlands in line with our Inclusion and Diversity agenda that enables us to attract the best Talent in the market; right specialists and starters on all levels. You will take initiatives to deliver a simple, consistent and transparent candidate experience from start to finish that exceed industry standards.


Day at the office:

It’s Monday morning and you start your day virtually with a check-in with your team on all vacancies in the Netherlands. Since you are in the midst of setting up a new recruitment team in HEINEKEN, things are not as highly structured as you are (possibly) used to. Time to make quick, yet well thought through decisions (in alignment with global policies). After the meeting you check your mail and catch-up with colleagues. You will align with HR colleagues but also with business partners and colleagues from the Global Talent Team. Time for lunch:  on the days you work from home you might hit the gym, on a day in the office you might join your colleagues to share a sandwich or a work in the city of Leiden or Amsterdam.

Right after lunch, you have two meetings with HR leadership on Talent Aguisition with long term outlook. TA plays a key role in the build/buy/borrow strategy. The translation of the business ambition to workforce planning and sourcing required. You will engage in a brainstorm with the business on specific approach on technical talent in the future. Afterwards, you leave for external engagement with a top talent, followed by a network event your team organised to open up and create meaningful connections with specific targets groups for HEINEKEN. Time to go home, another exciting day of building the recruiting team and capability of HEINEKEN successfully.

  • Lead and shape Talent Acquisition strategy for HEINEKEN in the Netherlands.
  • Shape the new team that will work cross OpCo and establish standardized ways of working and a roadmap for coming years
  • By finding the right candidates, your actions have direct impact on the success of HEINEKEN;
  • While the focus will first be on building the fundamentals, you will work together with stakeholders in the business and Global to build a strong employer brand that attract the right profiles of specialist and generalists form a diverse pool that is in line with our I&D Strategy;
  • Your team is engaged in the varied student market to recruit for the various trainee- and internship – our positioning and engagement with these target groups are a key enabler for our Employer Brand.
  • You have such a strong network in the market that allows you to put an external lens on our internal practices which allow you to challenge the organisation where and how to invest.


Your profile

In order to be successful in this opportunity you have:

  • You are an experienced, transformational leader with at least 4 years of leadership experience and extraordinary people management skills. You will lead a team of 5-7 (TBD) fte;
  • You are entrepreneurial, strategic, empowering and somewhat data-obsessed;
  • You have 8+ years in recruitment, and have a strong understanding of various strategies, best practices and talent markets;
  • You are a fantastic communicator and influencer, adaptable and able to create structure for others;
  • You are a visionary leader in the space of recruitment, sourcing, management or leadership (bonus points if you previously set up a (recruitment) team successfully).
  • You are excellent in stakeholder management (internally and externally with connections with educational institutions, professional networks etc)
