Title:  People Development Internship

We Go Places! How about you?
Location: Amsterdam
Function: HR
Sub-Function: HR - Talent & Organization Development
Type of Contract: Fixed Term

Are you able to help People Development Team to boost the HR practices for employees at the HEINEKEN Group?

As HR People Development Intern you are a true all-rounder that brings People Development within HEINEKEN Group to the next level. Your typical work day will probably look something like this:

After checking your mail quickly, Jan and you go downstairs to grab a coffee – the barista recognizes you and hands you your regular choice with a smile on her face. After that, as part of your HR Analytics activities, you and Jan update the data and PowerBI Dashboard. At the same time, both of you brainstorm how to make HR more data-driven. Once you have taken a look at the latest trends in the HEINEKEN workforce, have an idea of how to improve Inclusion and Diversity and you engage in an interesting talk with Jacobien, till you hear someone saying ‘Lunch?’ in the floor. You and the rest of the department takes the stairs to the canteen to boost your ‘daily steps’ for the Global Health Challenge

At one, you have the ‘two times per week stand-up meeting’ with the whole team to discuss the progress of all ongoing projects. In this meeting you hear Lenka talk about the upcoming training programmes. In a burst of creativity, you come up with a great idea for the promotion of this training that you pitch on the spot.  While you are on it, how about promoting the upcoming Health events like beer yoga or kickboxing – yes, you read this correctly, beer yoga?

In the afternoon it’s time to work on ‘Onboarding Event with Lenka. Chances are that, at 5 o’clock, you ask Jan to stop singing The Chainsmokers or Taylor Swift or songs – who likes Taylor Swift anyways? However, not on Fridays. On Friday, you’ll probably hear the ‘Friday song’ and Dennis (who’s in the recruitment team) dances to it. If that is the case, it means it’s Friday drinks time. Another week in which you have helped to bring HEINEKEN to the next level. Thanks!

In sum, these are the Pro’s & Con’s of this position:

- You ensure that all HR and People Development initiatives reach our colleagues putting the needs of the employees first.

- You work with different people on different projects, where you can learn a lot.

- You have direct impact on how people perceive the HR function.

- No matter how great your change management skills are, you can’t change the HEINEKEN world in one day.
