Your internship

Are you a student, interested in the world of innovation? Then we are looking for you! As part of the BLADE Team, you will actively participate in innovating one of Heineken’s most exciting commercial draught beer systems globally.


The BLADE is Heineken 8 litre countertop draught system which is sold worldwide. As part of the BLADE project team, you have the unique opportunity to contribute to further innovate the Blade in the digital age and to learn how such a project is managed in a Global company and rolled out in several countries.


The internship focuses on supporting the project team on a variety of subjects and therefore speed, commitment, being a self-starter and excellent communication skills are key to success. The project team will welcome your ideas, creativity and input.


Some of your responsibilities are:

  • Organise and gather user feedback from internal and external customers to further the value proposition.
  • Translate the feedback in product improvements.
  • Provide operational support and deal with customer queries.
  • Create user manual and FAQ page.
  • Maintaining and sending out key internal communication materials on a regular basis.
  • Working and communicating with internal stakeholders, external agencies and third parties.
  • Generating written and photo/video content for internal social media
  • Helping the team with various items.


Your working environment

As an intern in the Global Commerce Innovation team, you will be positioned at the Global office in Amsterdam. However depending on the Covid-19 developments it can be required to work several days a week from home.

The team consists of people with different nationalities whom all share the same passion and drive for innovation and success.



We are looking for a dedicated, hardworking and outgoing person, enrolled in a university throughout the entire period of the internship and with a keen interest in the world of innovation management; you can combine strategy and creativity in your work approach. Moreover, you are a people’s person, always willing to be of service to your colleagues and other stakeholders.


Furthermore, you are studying towards your Bachelor or Masters in the areas of Business Administration, Business Communication, Marketing and Innovation.


Also the ideal candidate has

  • An excellent grasp and control of the English language
  • Persuasive and proficient communication skills
  • (Innovation) Management and People skills
  • Expertise in using Microsoft Office applications with particular focus on Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Analytical skills and view

The Ideal candidate is:

  • A self-starter who shows initiative
  • Eager to learn, contribute and take full responsibility
  • Interested in the latest digital trends
