Title:  Internship Commerce Capabilities (GCU)

The INTERN - Global Commerce University (GCU) develops Marketing Capabilities in the territories of e.g. Penetration Marketing, Brand Positioning, Iconic Brand Identity, Breakthrough Communication, Data Driven Marketing & Sales. Through webinars and trainings as well as through e-learnings, these capabilities are implemented throughout the Commerce organisation worldwide. The GCU also leads the Capability Builders Community, a community that supports the embedding of the capabilities in the operating countries. The GCU brings them together through monthly calls, workshops, and webinars.

The intern will support the Capability Managers from the GCU developing and implementing marketing capabilities.


Key responsibilities

  • Project management of e-learnings, webinars, trainings, newsletters
  • Coordinating communication to Commerce Community/ Capability Builders, maintaining mailing lists
  • Maintenance of the internal website of Global Commerce University, updating Commerce events calendar, uploading files, etc.  


Your Profile

  • Enrolled in a Bachelors or Master’s degree programme at an EU University, ideally following a digital marketing, communications or business degree
  • Available for 6 months, full-time (32-40h per week)
  • Ideally located in the Amsterdam area
  • Skills:
    • Project Management
    • Excellent PowerPoint/Excel skills
    • Basic knowledge of layouts, typography, line composition, colour and other graphic design fundamentals
    • Strong creative and analytical skills
    • Adobe Indesign, Adobe Premiere Pro & Adobe After Effects (desired, not mandatory)
  • Language: strong English communication skills
  • Pragmatic/hands-on
  • Proactive & Passionate
  • Eye for detail
  • Other competencies:
    • Good coordinator and multitasker
    • Team player
