Internship Cyber Security Awareness - HEINEKEN International Amsterdam

With the world becoming more and more digitized, cyber security becomes an increasing risk. HEINEKEN Global Digital & Technology is looking for a creative, curious and ambitious intern for Global Security to support the Global Security Awareness Programme.

HEINEKEN Global Security is looking for an intern in the Security Competence Center. The purpose of this team is to define the security strategy and procedures globally, the team provides advice about security guardrails and governance. We are looking for support in the Global Security Awareness Programme.


The HEINEKEN Global Information Security Awareness Programme involves communications about security topics for employees, an online training, phishing simulations for all employees globally and a measurement on how we are progressing as a company on this important topic. Furthermore, information security awareness also includes crisis management and the increase of security visibility and collaboration.


Role: Intern Cyber Security Awareness.


Your responsibilities

  • We are looking for support in managing the Global Security Awareness Programme. In this internship you will support in:
  •         Defining and creating security awareness communications for our employees as part of the HEINEKEN Global Information Security Golden Rules;
  •         Promoting the Global Security Awareness Training to our employees;
  •         Improve the Measurement survey;
  •         Cyber crisis simulations support and improving the crisis manual;
  •         Increasing visibility and collaboration for cyber security using our internal channels (SharePoint, Teams & Workplace;


Your profile

You are a student in a relevant field of study, such as Security Studies, Crisis Management, Communication or Behavioural Science/Psychology and you have the following skillset:

  •         An open and global mindset and natural curiosity
  •        Ability to prioritize and to work in a structured way on projects and individually;
  •         Exceptional team player and eager to learn;
  •         Proficiency in English: written, spoken and interpersonal;
  •         Pragmatic and a can-do mentality;
  •         Ability to think creatively and present complex info in a simple manner;
  •        Good communication skills and experience with content creation;
  •         Highly motivated with a strong sense of personal initiative;
  •        Interested in digital developments and eager to make a difference in cyber security.

Key dates

  •        Submission deadline: 15th of July;
  •        Interviewing dates (virtual): 15th of July - 30th of July;
  •        Start date: 1st of September.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, you will work from home, but when COVID restrictions allow you will join us in our Amsterdam based office. We are looking for someone who is available for 6 months, starting in September.


Please note that all interns must be enrolled at a university for the entire duration of the internship. You will need to provide a proof of enrolment with your application. Applications without this will not be considered.
