Your job

Are you a graduate student (or almost graduated) and passionate about people and organizational development? Do you want to be part of a great company and experience what it is like to work in an international and dynamic environment? Then we are looking for you!

The position of Intern HR Business Partner at the Heineken Corporate Office is available from August/September. In this role, you report to the Senior HR Business Partner of Global Commerce and participate in the rollout of global initiatives within the Global Commerce department.

Besides working on various HR related projects in different fields of interest (e.g. Learning & Development and Performance Management), you also experience a close connection to the business; giving you the best overall experience of HR at a Corporate Office. Of course your internship will be a bit different because of COVID-19, for example; working from home more and adjusted HR-processes. See this as an opportunity to take on new challenges and learn how a big international organization functions in times of crisis.

Your responsibilities

  • Besides your supervisor, you support two other HR Business Partners (responsible for e.g. Heineken Experience, AMEE Export, and Corporate Affairs) with operational processes and different projects.
  • Build Management Team presentations & provide management information to managers (on the performance management process, different types of leave, HR-systems, etc.)
  • Participating in projects within a wide scope of HR e.g. Learning & Development, succession planning, or employee engagement.
  • Drive our Performance Management process (e.g. top talent meetings, mid-year review and calibration, reporting, analysis of outcome.

Your working environment

This role is based at the Corporate Office in the center of Amsterdam, but because of COVID-19 you will mainly have to work the first part of your internship from home. The possibilities to return to the office are currently being investigated, so hopefully everyone can return to the office soon. The HR Corporate Office department supports all employees in Amsterdam, and includes multiple HR Business Partners, legal advisors, a Reward specialist, a Development specialist and a recruitment team.

Your profile

You are a student at WO/Master level in a relevant field of study, such as HR, organizational development, or business administration etc.

The ideal candidate also has/is:

  • Passionate about people and organizational development and has knowledge on these topics.
  • A pragmatic person with a can-do and hands-on mentality.
  • The quality of being an analytical thinker and works accurately.
  • Flexibility in being able to prioritize tasks/projects, and is aware of stakeholder management.
  • Interest in an international environment that is ad-hoc and is the hub of a multinational organization.
  • Good communication skills: written, spoken and interpersonal.
  • Fluent in both Dutch and English.

Please note you have to be enrolled at a university for the entire duration of the internship. Applications without this will not be considered.
