COMMERCIAL INTERNSHIP – Europe Export & Global Duty Free

Team and department

HEINEKEN Europe Export & Global Duty Free is responsible for all 3rd party Export & License business in European region and for the Duty-Free markets globally. The EE&GDF OpCo manages independently a large portfolio of brands led by Heineken® and has a strategic role for the development of brands across multiple markets. The Headquarter is based in Amsterdam and counts around 100 people.


Your internship will be in the GDF Customer Marketing team that is part of the Marketing department. You will be reporting into the Senior Customer Marketer Global Duty Free directly, dotted line – to Marketing Manager Global Duty Free. You will work in close cooperation with Sales and Brand marketing, but also with external partners like suppliers, customers, distributors and wholesalers.


Scope of Internship

In your assignment you will be exposed to multiple areas of customer marketing function, such as:

  • Activation support of the key customers in such markets as Airlines, Cruises, Ferries, Borders throughout the year
  • Trade shows, customers’ events, staff engagement activities
  • Development of innovative activation strategies content and implementation wise including digital, sustainability etc.

You will be working under supervision of GDF Marketing Manager and Customer Marketers being responsible for assigned activities as a part of a project team, as well leading some projects yourself so you will have an opportunity to develop not only functional capabilities but also your soft skills.


Your Profile

We are looking for an enthusiastic, mature and hands-on master student in the final stage of their studies (Commercial, Business or Marketing) with strong analytical profile. International experience is preferred. Pro-activity, strong ownership and flexibility are required. Fluency in English is mandatory. All candidates should furthermore relate with the following skills/characteristics:

Project: GDF Customer Marketing intern
Location: Amsterdam
Start Project: 1 March 2021
Duration: 6 months with a possibility to extend

Working days: 5 days per week

Remuneration: 500€ per month

Academic: WO/University Enrolment
