Title:  Global Technology Supply Chain

Role purpose:


This role is part of the Global Information Services (GIS, Global IT) department of HEINEKEN International. The Technology Specialist is part of the Product team and is one of the professionals who do the work of delivering a potentially releasable increment of the product at the end of each sprint. Product Teams are structured and empowered by the organization to organize and manage their own work. The resulting synergy optimizes the Product Team’s overall efficiency and effectiveness.

Supports the Supply Chain Digital Experiment funnel from technical perspective: architecture, inf. Security, technical development, operations, etc.

Responsible for, scaling and implementing Supply Chain digital experiments across opcos that have proved value. He/She will work with the Product Teams and partners to ensure end-product meets business requirements.


Key Responsibilities:


General Technology Specialist:

  • Ensures consistency of the overall solution;
  • Works with the Product Owner to understand, elicit, analyze, document and communicate program and platform/application requirements;
  • Participates in the selection of new technologies;
  • Provides guidance and coaching to other product team members on changes throughout the design process;
  • Manages the quality of the solution and technical debt;
  • Identifies potential bottlenecks and their underlying causes that affect the product and proposes how to resolve these;
  • Maintains awareness of emerging technologies, industry trends, and architecture best practices; and evaluate them for applicability;
  • Keep up with relevant developments in own functional area and ensure development, transfer and retention of knowledge. Is together with team members end-to-end responsible to deliver the value of a single Product through the entire Product life cycle;
  • Deliver working product enhancements with the allocated timescale and quality standards that minimize rework and aspire a zero defect culture;
  • Is self-organising with other team members. There is no separate management layer, work is planned and executed by the team;
  • Is multidisciplinary – ensuring that the key competencies and expertise needed to develop, build, deploy and support the Product are embedded in the team;
  • Is responsible for ensuring the overall HEINEKEN standards and best practices are adhered by (i.e. Quality, Compliance);
  • Is a dedicated team member that remain assigned to the Product Team over longer periods of time;
  • Is a tech-savvy team member who develops products with innovative elements;
  • Is willing to help other team members with removing impediments;
  • Is able to reduce complexity of the work that has to be done.
  • Specific Technology Specialist:

  • Understand business requirements and acceptance criteria in the form of user stories, assess the complexity of these and translate into implementable solutions and configurations;
  • Ensures the product design and implementation adheres to functional requirements and architecture standards;
  • Demonstrates product features during sprint reviews to stakeholders.
  • Facilitate the gathering, definition and prioritization of requirements with key stakeholders;
  • Supports to define and own the value definition of Stories;
  • Supports translation of client’s business needs into product backlogs, user stories, detailed business requirements documents and use cases;
  • Completes the user stories with Acceptance Criteria;
  • Supporting to breakdown, decompose and describe business needs into Stories;
  • Works ahead of team to elicit requirements for the next Sprint's Stories;
  • Provides discipline, rigor and technical skills to the requirements definition and
    validation process;
  • Supports the Supply Chain Digital Experiment funnel from technical perspective: architecture, inf. Security, technical development, operations, etc.
  • Responsible for Planning, implementing and scaling, digital experiments across opcos.
  • Supports engaging stakeholders to ensure the Product Teams is receiving necessary inputs;

Bachelor/Master’s degree

Technology Specialist (Engineer): in Computer Science, Telecom, Electronics or other related studies.


Skills ;

General Technology Specialist

  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and in writing): ability to communicate well with technical and non-technical people;
  • Being a business and technical consultant that is responsible for the design of the product;
  • Analytically and quantitatively strong, highly structured;
  • A strong technical background with experience in one or more IT areas;
  • Recognizing the corporate strategy;
  • Is a team player and is able to work effectively at all levels of the product teams with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus;
  • Be able to identify and understand multiple stakeholder perspectives and "truths" and bring an open mind to understanding and build on the views of others.
  • Ability to work in teams and work dedicated for a team.

Specific Technology Specialist

  • Working with multi-disciplinary teams to craft IT solutions;
  • Troubleshooting technology problems;
  • Comfort with frequent, incremental code testing and deployment, a strong grasp of automation and data management tools;
  • Excellent facilitation, presentation, and analysing skills;
  • Experience of working in a deadline driven environment with rapid release cycles;
  • Preferably experience with working in an Agile environment.
  • Experience with designing and implementing, IT systems on leading commercial Cloud platforms, including Azure, AWS, Google or other leading IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS Solutions
  • Experience integrating legacy platforms and applications with cloud-based systems
  • Experience with Devops practices
