Are you looking to bring your experience and knowledge of media and digital to life with a role that rewards a passion for brand communication?

HEINEKEN International is looking for Media and Digital Intern to support Global Media & Digital team in all their activities for 6 months, starting as soon as possible. You will be based in Amsterdam within the Global Digital & Marketing Development department.


The Global Media & Digital team is tasked with global (paid) media strategies and local market implementation support, and best practice share and reapply developing the

HEINEKEN integrated communication framework to a global marketing and media audience.


Your job

  • Plan and coordinate global internal communication strategy and meeting sessions, global web conferences/meetings.
  • Assist and coordinate digital and media projects (such as assist the deployment of media and digital related trainings and coordinate events related to the Global media community).
  • As a member of the team, you will assist with the daily ad hoc requests, mainly related to project coordination.


Based on the candidate, there will be opportunities to lead a smaller project, e.g. best practices, learn & reapply programme, global ad fraud, data driven marketing, viewability assessment etc. The candidate will also have the opportunity to work on a graduation project in digital media area to be identified within the current projects in the department. Day to day tasks will expose you to hundreds of brands, cutting edge research and learning methodologies as well as seeing first−hand how a global marketing leader integrates this into their broader brand building activities.


Your working environment

As an intern for the Global Media and Digital team you will report to Esete Workneh and your position is based in Amsterdam.

  • Agile problem−solving attitude and hands−on mentality: you anticipate problems before they come up, people around you do not even realize if something wrong is going on because you make it invisible
  • Excellent time and budget management skills: nothing is left to chance and you are on top of everything
  • Outstanding communication skills and sensitivity to cultural differences: you are comfortable talking to anybody, be it an external supplier or a senior vice−president, coming across to both as clear in what you are saying and polite and respectful in the way you are saying


Please note that the intern must be enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship. They will need to show proof of enrolment before commencement.
