Title:  Finance Internship

HEINEKEN internship – Process and Control improvement management (Finance Team)

Are you a graduate student who is process driven with a risk and control mind-set, with the motivation to drive the implementation of process and control improvement? 

As a Finance procurement intern, you will require a combination of skills, including: strategic thinking, process improvement and process mapping, stakeholder management and project management.  You will play a key role in the mapping of processes, and the overall operational and administrative support in activities such as updating mitigation plans.


Like the majority of employees, there is a strong likelihood you will be working from home, as we continue to work from home as much as possible. This requires the candidate to show strong motivation and willingness to connect virtually. You will be adequately supported by your manager and the wider team in executing your tasks.


The internship is available as soon as possible for the duration of 9 months, 40 hours a week (negotiable).

Your responsibilities  

In this internship you will be responsible for: 

  • Mapping of the process pertaining to the Process improvement projects
    • Creating and updating project plans on the implementation of the above
    • Mapping current processes and designing future processes
    • Maintaining data sources
    • Creating periodic communications
  • Supporting on various activities relating to updating mitigation plans on HGP Failures and issues in B-wise ( B-wise is a Heineken specific tool used to log and track issues)
      • This could also include the cleaning and reviewing of data
  • Supporting on Key risk mitigation initiatives


Your profile 

You are a student in a Master’s programme of Business and Management, preferably related to: Process understanding and mapping, finance, risks, auditing and you have the following: 

  • Excellent communication skills: written and verbal
  • Strong analytical and process mapping skills – happy to deal with processes and re-designing processes
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint is a plus
  • Ability to prioritize and to work in a structured way on projects
  • Ability to work with diverse stakeholders
  • Comfortable working independently on tasks and at the same time be a team player
  • Eagerness to learn, share knowledge, with a can-do mentality 
  • Confident communicating in English
  • General awareness of process mapping and risk mitigation & control auditing concepts
