Anaplan Model Analyst - Internship


Are you a (graduate) student, passionate about Modelling, Programming and Finance/Procurement and looking for an experience in an international environment?


As Anaplan Model Analyst you are part of the Business Control department of Heineken Global Procurement (HGP). HGP is responsible for sourcing and optimizing the purchase of goods and services necessary to Heineken’s operations all around the world. As such, HGP is instrumental to initiate cost saving initiatives locally and globally, which is now more important than ever, and to influence the working capital by negotiating payment terms with suppliers. Your position relates predominantly to direct materials – all the materials related to the product (e.g. malt, hop, glass, cans, etc.) – therefore key to the overall success of the company. You will be responsible for the maintenance and technical developments in Anaplan, which is our demand-planning tool that is used by 70 OpCos around the world. You’ll be working closely together with the Anaplan Team, the HEINEKEN Global Procurement Finance team, Global Buyers and will learn about HEINEKEN’s procurement organization from a truly global perspective.


The internship is based at our Amsterdam Schiphol office and available per April 15 for the duration of 4-6 months.


Please note that all interns must be enrolled at a university for the entire duration of the internship. You will need to provide a proof of enrolment with your application. Applications without this will not be considered.

Your responsibilities

In this internship your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop new solutions to enhance the efficiency of HGP processes and improve the quality of the data.
  • Co-build on continuous improvements to the tool.
  • Facilitate the quality, completeness and on-time delivery of the Heineken governance cycle for Direct Materials: Green Envelope process, Annual Plan, Strategic Planning, Rolling Forecasts.


Your profile

You are a student in a relevant field of study and you have the following:

  • Ability to prioritize and to work in a structured way on projects and individually.
  • Exceptional team player capability and eagerness to learn, share knowledge.
  • Proficiency in English: written, spoken and interpersonal.
  • A pragmatic approach with a can-do mentality.
  • Experience in programming (e.g. Python, MatLab).
  • Good general finance understanding.
  • Being comfortable with systems and technologies.
  • Excel skills.
