Global Corporate Affairs Africa Middle East & Eastern Europe (AMEE) 

 

HEINEKEN is looking for a talented intern to join our Global Corporate Affairs Africa, Middle East & Eastern Europe (AMEE). We offer a challenging and versatile internship where you will get the opportunity to know more about a large multinational company in the Africa region. About the team

This internship offers you a unique combination of working in a corporate environment on a diverse range of international projects. During this internship you will work for 2 teams within the Africa Region: Global Corporate Affairs team for AMEE is responsible for protecting and leveraging HEINEKEN’s reputation in the AMEE region to secure our license to operate. The team applies the global Corporate Affairs (CA) strategy to the region, drives the regional CA agenda, and supports the business units of the region. The main goal of the HEINEKEN Africa Foundation is to improve the health of communities in the sub-Saharan African countries where HEINEKEN operates. About the position

 

Public and Regulatory Affairs Internship

  • Managing and assisting running projects
  • Support Environmental Sustainability agenda for the region
  • Research/data crunching in support of some specific projects
  • Monitoring political developments, tax and/or regulatory development for the AMEE region
  • Conducting desktop research and stakeholder management
  • Other tasks include helping deliver important short and long-term projects as well as covering various aspects of public affairs and governmental relations.

 

Experience and skills required:

  • Interest and affinity with Africa and Middle East region
  • Interest and/or knowledge in Public and regulatory affairs
  • Interest and/or knowledge on policy.
  • Strong project management skills, organisation & attention to detail
  • Ability to connect with diversity of people and cultures
  • Pro-active, flexible and accurate
  • Self-starter and able to work independently where needed
  • Advanced in Microsoft Office Programs (PowerPoint/Excel)
  • Knowledge of PowerBi and/or other data analysers is a plus
  • Fluency in English is mandatory, and knowledge of French is desired but not necessary.

 

 

Intern profile

 

Qualifications:

  • You must be currently enrolled in an accredited Dutch University for the total duration of the internship.
  • Final stage of studies – Not graduated yet.
  • The minimum requirement is a bachelor’s degree. Your field of study is not of crucial importance; however, interest and knowledge of international relations, communications, public affairs, and sustainability is desired.
  • Availability for at least 6 months.

The interns are expected to start by the End of August 2021, with a duration of 6 months. Depending on the Covid-19 situation, the internship may be partially or mostly remote. However, if the situation allows, you have the chance to come work with us at the HEINEKEN office in Amsterdam.
