We have an immediate requirement for a Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) Coordinator based in Port Moresby.

The incumbent will be responsible for providing specialist SHE resources and capabilities to plan, implement, monitor, and review SP Brewery’s SHE Management System and strategic risk management projects aimed at improving SHE performance.

Key duties include:

• Work in alignment with all HEINEKEN Safety, Health, Environment, Food Safety and Sustainability standards, as well as all relevant local regulations which are incorporated into the Safety Management System requirements.
• Lead, apply and provide expert advice on the Safety Management System requirements.
• Maintain and continuously improve the SHE Management System to meet HEINEKEN Global standards and PNG legal requirements, ensuring clear local procedures and workforce compliance.
• Plan, lead and delivery all requirements in line with Port Moresby Site Emergency Response Procedure including timely reviews, training, mock drill execution and implementation of improvement plans.
• Lead and support SHE incident investigations, provide expert SHE advice and ensure timely close-out of corrective and improvement actions.
• Drive strategic SHE projects to improve SHE KPIs in line with agreed timelines.
• Actively participate as a member of the Safety Council, leading and supporting planned activities.
• Support, train and monitor compliance with the Heineken Contractors Safety Management Standard.
• Lead SHE compliance audit programs to identify system gaps and improve overall performance.
• Support the Brewery Leadership Team activities by participating in key pillar activities, including risk assessments, 6S audits, HACCP compliance, and other operational initiatives.
• Lead and support the Brewery in the implementation of Total Performance Management (TPM) Safety activities.
• Manage SHE data, reporting, and KPI deployments by collecting and analyzing safety performance information, ensuring accurate monthly reporting, and maintaining compliance tools and documentation.
• Plan and deliver safety training aligned with HEINEKEN requirements and local needs, and provide ongoing coaching and assessments, spots checks, and audits to ensure workforce compliance with SPB SHE procedures and standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

• University Degree in Science/Engineering with Safety background.

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in SHE responsibilities in FMCG or mining/petroleum operations.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Committed to achieving set tasks and meeting deadlines.
• Positive attitude and commitment.
