We have an immediate requirement for Shipping & Container Tracking Officer, to join our vibrant Logistics team in Port Moresby.

Responsibilities Include:

• Account for & co-ordinating of sea-freight and airfreight cargo clearance / tracking of all containers both full and empty from place of loading place of discharge for Port Moresby and Lae.
• Coordinate weekly with the customs agent and trucking company to arrange the clearance and delivery of imported shipments from the port to the delivery location.
• Weekly updating tracking report with the weekly container count.
• Weekly & Monthly check and coding of container detention and port storage invoices for payment.
• Arrange PV for customs clearance charges for payment prior to clearance and delivery. Coding of freight and other local handling charges on weekly basis for payment.
• Maintain proper records and filing of documents in the department.
• Assist the department in the day-to-day activities as assigned by the Purchasing Supervisor and the Manager.

Qualification & Experience:

• Degree or Diploma in Business Administration or Finance, any other degree or diploma courses that may be appropriate for the position.
• 3-5 years or more experience in a purchasing environment or Supply Chain.
• Have sound knowledge on Imports & Export shipments
• Experience in PNG Customs/NAQIA requirements for Imports & Export shipments.
• Preferably have some experience relating to logistics/shipping/customs/supply chain.
• Excellent communication skills
• Good Command of MS Office applications
• Driving License would be an advantage.
