Depot Foreman

Position Vacant:                 Depot Foreman

Function:                             Supply Chain – Logistics Department

Location:                             Port Moresby                         

 

We have an immediate requirement for a Depot Foreman – Port Moresby, reporting to the Depot Supervisor.

 

As the Depot Foreman, you will supervise safe, secure and accurate manual palletizing of finish products by the depot staff. You will ensure finish pallets are stacked in the appropriate bays and ensure accountability and accuracy of all finish goods stocktakes before shift change.

 

Key RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure to do opening and closing stock counts including overnight production figures, registration of stock movements, regular inventory checks, monitors controls and report stock accuracy and stock losses promptly.
  • Plan staffing and resources to appropriate shifts and monitors the execution and progress of the shift activities and productivity
  • Ensure Forklift checks are carried out and signed off
  • Ensure availability of spacing in the warehouse for finish products and availability of empty quality pallets to meet the schedule production plan.
  • Ensure stocks are labeled – Depot/Production Stock and pallet stickers are applied to pallets after completion of palletizing.
  • Ensure stock rotation (FIFO & LIFO) is continually maintained as per locations in the warehouse.
  • Ensure daily shift stock counts are properly counted and pass on the count sheet to Depot Supervisor who will enter into people soft.
  • Ensure all blocked stocks are properly segregated from good stock and all Palletized Breakages are repacked according to the Breakages Repacking Procedure daily per shift.

 

Qualification & Experience:

  • Higher School Certificate or College with experience in supervision and stock control preferable with accounting background
  • Has solid experience in supervisory & Planning Skills on Operational Safety Awareness
  • Has high level of Safety Work Practices/Procedures in Warehousing management.
  • Class 7 Forklift License is Mandatory.
  • Has demonstrated skills in Warehouse Inventory Management
  • Excellent written & communication skills
  • Familiar with warehouse stock take procedures
  • Familiar with basic computing – email, word & ex-cell.
