Senior Brand Manager

We have an immediate requirement for a Senior Brand Manager based in Port Moresby, reporting to the Marketing Manager.

 

The Senior Brand Manager is the overall brand management of the company’s mainstream brands SP Lager and Kundu ensuring the achievement of the pre-determined profit, volume, innovation and equity objectives across Papua New Guinea.

Main Duties will include:

  • Implementation of the current year’s Brand Plans ensuring timely achievement of brand equity and financial objectives.
  • Development of Brand Plans, including the three-year strategic direction
  • Effective management of the brand’s marketing budget, ensuring no unauthorized overspend.
  • Effective project management of all assigned marketing programmes ensuring projects are delivered on time and in full (OTIF), with maximum impact and within agreed budget
  • Implementation of all sports, music and cultural sponsorships, ensuring maximum exposure for the brand, delivered in a cost-effective manner.
  • Pro-active communication of the brand’s marketing programmes to all internal stakeholders via road shows, trade visits, monthly reports and any other PR opportunities.
  • Superior management of third-party agencies such that our relationships are characterized by mutual trust and respect, a passion and hunger to do the exceptional, and by exceptional output that is recognized as being the best in PNG.
  • Participate in public relations management for the brands, including the development of consumer and trade events, and positive press mentions and reviews.
  • Monitoring and controlling the implementation of brands standards and specifications in conjunction with the RSMs and the Trade Marketing Manager.
  • Lead and support the marketing team as second in charge in Marketing Manager’s absence.
  • Monitoring the effectiveness of marketing programmes via sales, competitor, and research data.
  • Coaching and mentoring the development of the Assistant Brand Manager / Executive.
  • Demonstrate behaviors that are consistent with the company vision, purpose, value, and culture.

 

Qualification & Experience:

  • University degree in Marketing, Business Management or a related field is essential. Post graduate education

or training would be desirable.

  • At least 4 - 5 years’ experience in sales, marketing and brand management with exposure to all elements of the

marketing mix. Experience in sponsorship management and sales would be highly desirable.
