The HEINEKEN International Graduate Programme

Are you a graduate and ready to really Go Places? Are you prepared to work in three different countries in the HEINEKEN world over three years?

Our International Graduate Programme will provide you with a truly global experience, designed for our fully internationally mobile leaders of tomorrow that will add value to our business from day 1. Your journey will begin with the first of three one-year assignments, exploring our operating companies, different cultures and experiencing different challenges within a specific function.

You need to be learning agile, self-sufficient, open to feedback, humble but also adventurous enough to take ownership wherever you are, standing true to our HEINEKEN values with a passion for quality, enjoyment of life and respect for people and our planet.

UPDATE 2020

Over the last 10 years we have hired numerous superb graduates on to our International Graduate Programme (IGP), and they have all realised ambitions to ‘Go Places’! As our business continues to grow and evolve, now is the right time to pause and review the programme to see how we can improve it further. Unfortunately, this does mean that we will not be hiring onto the IGP for 2020 as we focus all our efforts . Keep checking this page for more information and updates on the IGP, and don’t forget to follow us on LinkedIN! Of course, we are still running many local graduate programmes, so take a look at the careers page in those countries you are interested in working, and good luck with your applications!

A stretching learning journey!

  • Learning philosophy

    Just like all of our employees, learning in the IGP is in line with our learning philosophy;

    70% of learning happens on the job, 20% is through coaching/mentoring, and 10% is by attending formal training.

  • Introduction

    We will begin the journey in our Head Office in Amsterdam where you will learn about the HEINEKEN company and spend a day on self-awareness.

    A great backpack of knowledge to take with you on your first assignment!

  • Mentors

    Our Leadership teams commit themselves to supporting the IGs throughout the programme; Each IG is assigned to a Senior Manager that acts as their mentor.

    In the past this has proven to be long-term valuable relationships!

  • Face to face trainings

    You are invited to several face-to-face trainings back in Amsterdam.

    The trainings are focused on equipping you to be successful during your assignments as well as after the programme! In between the face-to-face trainings, there will be mid-interventions that will help you embed the learnings.
