Sustainability Specialist

Position Summary:

The Sustainability Specialist is responsible for driving environmental performance to promote the sustainable development of the entire OpCo Operations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research, assess and implement industry best practices around supply chain environmental issues, trends, and regulatory and certification requirements.
  • Lead, develop, and evolve environmental supplier responsibility program.
  • Interface with multiple teams within and outside Heineken to drive circular economy.
  • Ensures that local plans, permits, protocols and standard operating procedures are documented and maintained as regulated.
  • Review all environmental and sustainability regulations and determine whether they're being applied properly and/or need to be implemented or improved.
  • Support the preparation and negotiation of applicable environmental permit applications.
  • On a regular basis inspect HVN facilities to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Monitor progress of the sustainability performance and provide recommendations to maintain and improve the performance.
  • Initiate and/or manage programs and/or projects that lead to environmental and sustainability improvements.
  • Develop solutions to environmental problems such as recycling, circularity, waste disposal, public impact and water and air pollution control.

 

Qualifications required:

  • University degree in Environmental Management, Industrial  Management, Chemistry, Physics
  • At least 1 year working experience as specialist in FMCG, preferably in foreign invested companies
  • Advance knowledge & skill about Basic Food and Environmental Technology
  • Knowledge of TPM and sustainability development is preferable
  • Experience working in waste management, recycling
  • Conversant with spoken and written English (specially technical jargons)
  • PC literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Good at teamwork, leadership, communication/ interpersonal skill
  • Analytical thinking, problem-solving skill and project management skills
  • Fast learner and natural problem-solver with strong sense of personal accountability for the work.
