Context

The Contract Manager is responsible for managing the LSP relation and performance according to the LSP management approach. A key area of this is to collaborate with Procurement to select the right LSP’s and together with the LSP’s identify and develop improvement initiatives

Reports to: Transport Manager

Direct reports: none, but will play a key role in the daily coordination of indirect (external) resources

Safety & Sustainability

Identify the main risks associated with LSP activities with respect to the operation under our control.

Increase safety culture and cooperate with stakeholders

Create / maintain monthly / regular reports that highlight unsafe behaviour, LSR breaks, and incidents / accidents

There is a safe environment for both staff, visitors and LSP’s.

Defined safety and sustainability indicators and targets

Life Saving Rules and Safety Standards are followed

Countermeasures taken to mitigate risks

Safety concerns are shared. People address each other on safety

Logistics Cost Management

Be able to build and use the LCM tool if possible supported by the transport analyst and transport manager

Use insights from LCM in LSP management and transport tenders

Optimized Logistics Cost Management

Transport Tenders

Collaborate with Procurement to conduct the tender process to select new LSP’s or to evaluate LSP performance and discuss contract extensions

Optimized tender process and tender outcome

LSP Management

Manage the LSP relation and performance according to the LSP management approach in line with our strategy and standards.

Collaborate with LSP’s and other stakeholders to identify and roll-out joint-improvement initiatives to improve performance

Optimized LSP management

TPM & Continuous Improvement

Make deployments of outsourced transportation activities and suggest improvements in safety, processes and assets

Provide input for DCS where necessary.

Administration

Perform correct administration KPI’s regarding LSP performance

 

Accurate information in systems to enable management reporting and LSP management

Management reporting

Provide information where required to support management reporting

Optimized management reporting

Knowledge and Experience

Minimum Bachelor in Logistics / Supply Chain, Contract management or other related fields

Experience

2-3 years relevant experience

Specific Experience

Microsoft Office; ERP (SAP, Navision, JDE)

WMS / TMS knowledge

Local language and English

other knowledge

Experience in the area of ​​distribution, namely in the area of ​​contract management, Ability to negotiate.

Good communication and interaction with warehousing operation.
