Lab Analyst II (Ha Noi Brewery)

Job purpose:

To ensure that sampling and product analysis (Analytical, Microbiological and Sensory) are performed accurately and OTIF. · To ensure the operational management of all QC equipment (in-line and off-line) are performed reliably and OTIF. · To support production in quality control, process control and condition management.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Safety, food safety & sustainability:
  • Maintain the working area clean, tidy and safe without unnecessary losses of consumables/chemicals, in line with the defined and implemented safety standards and following 5S, HACCP, sustainability standards at the workplace.
  • Safe working environment on laboratory equipment/area
  • Clean and tidy working area; without unnecessary losses of consumables/chemicals.
  1. Quality of Analyses
  • Makes all the quality checks and acts as internal LSS auditor to maintain the LSS quality system as well as in-line measurements as laboratory analyses, in line with the standards and procedures on sampling and analyses.
  • Performs quality audits: QA, Hygiene, Warehouse, Depot, QID and market, LSS,
  • All quality checks are done and meet the expectation (LSS).
  • Results are reliable.
  • Product, process quality is sustained and improved.
  1. TPM And Continuous Improvement (LSS)
  • Participates and plays an active role in improvement teams related to process quality and implements these improvement opportunities or corrective actions in the laboratory (ISO9001, LSS, TPM etc.).
  • Positive results of the improvement teams and contributes to continuous improvements; better performance of the laboratory and in-line meters.
  1. People Development
  • Trains lab and production technicians on analyses and analysis equipment (in-line and off-line), according to training material.
  • Better reproducibility of the results of the laboratories and in-line meters.
  1. Execution of Analyses
  • Executes Microbiological, physic, chemical analyses, including sampling, sample preparation and reporting results, in line with the valid Laboratory Methods.
  • Manages Sensory Evaluation, training and monitoring the taste test panel, execution of the taste test activities (Panel Leader).
  • Execute as lab service Center
  • Reliable results are reported OTIF.
  1. Equipment Management
  • Performs calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment and troubleshoots on laboratory methods and analysis equipment (off-line).
  • Performs verification, calibration and contribute to set up process condition for inline quality equipment’s.
  • Off-line/in-line analysis equipment, in-line inspection machines are always fit for purpose.
  1. Material Management
  • Manage stock and orders laboratory materials and equipment.
  • Laboratory materials and equipment are always available.

Job requirements:

  • Qualifications:  College/University graduate in Food processing/Chemistry/ Biochemistry/ Organic Chemistry/ Food Chemical Industries
  • Experience/skills · Preferably laboratory experience (food industry).
  • Knowledge in quality control system
  • Office computer skill (Excel, Word, Power Point)
  • Good communication and teamwork ·
  •  Logical, analytical thinking
  • Active, accurate, discipline, creative, well organized
  • Languages: Advance reading and written English competences
