The position for the role of Intern People Operations at the Corporate Office of Heineken is now available to start in Augustus/September 2021 for a period of 6 months. In this role, you participate in projects like digitalisation of HR processes, implementation of a new global HR system (Successfactors), optimise HR content management, support HR Specialists regarding international mobility, travel management and sickness & disability.


Your responsibilities

  • Support the People Operations department and your internship supervisor in their day to day activities:
  • Help prepare necessary documents
  • Set up and support content management
  • Support HR Specialists in their function
  • Plan and attend meetings
  • Participating in projects within HR such as:
  • Digitalisation of HR processes
  • Implementation new global HR system incl. Change Management
  • Aftercare for the launch of the new HR system


Your working environment

This role is based in Zoeterwoude, although you will be able to work partly remote. The team of People Operations consists of around 30 professionals. The way of working has changed immensely over the past years, driven by e.g. digitalisation, automation and increased employee self-service. We are very proud we work now with state of the art HR tooling and systems.

The team is working according to a service model based on the employee journey (hire to retire) and services active employees working in six different entities and also servicing the Heineken pensionfund.

You will be working in a high pace, divers working environment with a specialized team. 


Your profile

  • You are a student at HBO/WO level in a relevant field of study, such as HR, organizational development, or business administration etc.;
  • You have to be enrolled at a Dutch or European university for the entire duration of the internship and have a European nationality;
  • You are available for 6 months, 4-5 days per week;
  • The ideal candidate also has/is:


  • A pragmatic person with a can-do and hands-on mentality;
  • The quality of being an analytical thinker and works accurately;
  • Flexibility in being able to prioritize tasks/projects, and is aware of stakeholder management;
  • Interest in an International environment that is ad-hoc and is the hub of a multinational organization;
  • Good communication skills: written, spoken and interpersonal;
  • Fluent in English and preferable Dutch.
