Business IT Consultant - Customer Service and Logistics

The Business IT Consultant (BITC) is a function within the Digital & Technology (D&T) department of Heineken Netherlands Supply B.V. (HNS). You’re part of a small team of which the main focus is on (strategic) Business Partnering, gathering and defining business requirements and translating the latter into suitable IT services and solutions. The specific business domains covered by the team are Customer Service, Logistics, Warehousing, Planning and Procurement.


Within the team, your main responsibility is on both the operational and tactical level and therewith on strategic guidance, Business Partnering and the management of projects to drive and deliver change. Your strong interpersonal and communication skills, business language, hands-on mentality and ability to translate complex questions in a rather dynamic environment will make this a success.


What are your main responsibilities?

As BITC, you’re active on the operational and tactical level mainly. The most important challenge you’ll address is delivering value to our business domains by means of strategic guidance to support decision making, Business Partnering and managing (Digital & Technology) projects and programmes. As such, you’re key responsibilities are as follows:


  • Gathering and defining business requirements;
  • Project management and support, including budget management;
  • (Partial) stability of IT services and solutions in (a) specific business domain(s);
  • Single point of contact towards (delegated) Business Process Owner(s);
  • Stakeholder/Business Relationship Management/Business Partnering with the relevant parties.


The (main) location concerns Leiden and you report to the Senior Business IT Consultant (Sr. BITC). The functional domains you’ll be focused on concern Logistics and Procurement.


Your work field

You’re part of a small team that is composed of a total of 4 members; next to you, there’s a Jr BITC, BITC and Sr. BITC. As a team, our key priority is with (strategic) Business Partnering and the delivery of both (theoretical) aligned business-IT strategic roadmaps and (practical) value by means of project and programme management mainly.


Your profile
You have a hands-on mentality, are analytical of nature, have the ability to handle complex questions in a rather dynamic environment and are keen to deliver value pro-actively and by means of team effort.

  • Working and thinking level: HBO/Bachelor – WO/Master;
  • Experience requirement: 3-5 years of relevant experience (IT and/or business domain) and experience in working in project(s), programme(s) and/or portfolio(s) (management);
  • Important qualifications: hands-on mentality, analytical (mind-set), ability to handle complex questions in a dynamic environment, strong in stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, good time management and organizational skills, speaks business language, creative problem solving skills and ability to deliver (OTIFIB) technological solutions to meet business’ needs;
  • Required languages: English, Dutch;
  • Employment: full-time (i.e. 38 hrs p/w).
