Reward Specialist (Dutch Speaker)

Your job

Are you a rewards professional? And looking for the opportunity to use your skills for the benefit of the Dutch entities of HEINEKEN? Then we are looking for you!


You will play a central role in our day to day rewards processes, job grading, recurring annual processes such as STI/LTI’s etc, special events such as the implementation of our Collective Labour Agreements, assisting with litigation or dispute resolution and the development, optimization and implementation of Reward proposals, policies and processes.


In this role, you will:

  • Work closely with two enthusiastic specialists and together work for the most important Dutch entities within the HEINEKEN group.
  • Play a pivotal role in the preparation and execution of our rewards processes.
  • Contribute to the modernization and simplification the overall reward package for the Dutch HEINEKEN entities and make it more flexible;
  • Liaise with relevant stakeholders such as our global reward team and the management of the Dutch entities to effectuate Reward package changes in systems, processes and payroll;
  • Be the subject matter expert on the reward matters, processes and job evaluation/grading;
  • Incorporate best reward practices (e.g. based on benchmarking);
  • Perform job, employee data and reward evaluations and analyses;
  • Advise and assist our People Business Partners, connect with other stakeholders such as People Directors and execute Senior Management compensation processes in cooperation with our global reward department.


Your working environment

As Reward Specialist you will report to the Manager Labour Relations & Employment Law and your position is based at our Head Office in Amsterdam.


Your profile

The ideal candidate has:

  • Significant (5-10 yrs) relevant experience in reward;
  • Thorough knowledge of job grading (Hay/ORBA);
  • In-depth knowledge of benchmarking;
  • The ability to deal with complex issues;
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Dutch;
  • Experience with project management;
  • Stakeholder management skills;
  • Experience with working in an international environment;
  • An analytical, accurate, cooperative, pro-active and looking-for-the-yes attitude.
  • Ability to explain complicated topics and why they matter for the organisation in simple and straightforward terms
  • Humor, is down to earth and has the ability to see things in perspective
