The internship

  • Gather internal and external data
  • Do a benchmark analysis
  • Share updates on a regular basis with key-stakeholders
  • Develop a tool (e.g Power BI) to monitor the process and capturing the data in an efficient way

The department

As a member of the Paper Team, you will be responsible for the development and execution of the sustainability agenda for the Paper Category. Specific you will be leading the transition to source 100% certified Paper within the global scope of HEINEKEN Global Procurement & the replacement of plastic packaging to Paper packaging. You will be instrumental in driving the discussion both internal and external and challenge the status quo. Next to above you will be part of the team and supporting in sourcing activities e.g securing supply, initiating and analysing sourcing events and executing projects.

The terms of employment

  • Your starting date is 1 september 2022
  • The internship is fulltime (in consultation also 4 days a week possible)
  • The duration of the internship is 5 or 6 months (in consultation with your internship supervisor)
  • You are registered at an educational institution
  • It is a theoretical research internship
  • You will be based in Schiphol.
  • You will receive an internship fee of €500 (HBO/WO)
  • You will enjoy 2 vacation days per month (based on fulltime)
  • If you do not have a student OV product, your commuting expenses will be fully reimbursed


The start of your internship

Together with a diverse group of interns from different departments you will start your internship at HEINEKEN. Together you will be introduced to the organization. Furthermore, you can organize fun activities with your fellow interns.

The unique you!

  • Currently enrolled at a Dutch University
  • Business/Procurement understanding
  • Proficient at PowerPoint, SharePoint, Excel, Power BI
  • Excellent communication skills- both written and verbal in English
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to deal with the time pressure
  • Able to build relationships
  • Team player able to collaborate
