The internship

In this internship, you will be part of the Global Supply Chain Control team. The team supports the Global Supply Chain Leadership team in realizing their business objectives. This varies from supporting business cases, providing reports and insights and drive the full governance cycle for Global Supply Chain.

 

We are looking for a student with a creative mindset and can-do mentality that support our team in improving finance processes, divers’ projects and give the team ad-hoc support where needed. You will not only get insights into what business control activities comprises but also get insights how we brew and distribute our portfolio. On top off you also develop your skills in a multinational company, with exposure to different stakeholders. Our goal for you is to learn as much as you can and develop yourself professionally in a great team.

 

This will involve:

  • Support in improving reporting suite and finance processes
  • Support in building and reviewing business cases
  • Build (data) models 
  • Support business & financial control in daily operations

 


The department

You will be part of the Global Business Control department; Our key stakeholders are The Supply Chain Leadership Team and The Executive Board.

Depending on the role and your capability, you could be working on specific projects across the wider department to maximize your growth and learning experience.

The terms of employment

  • Your starting date is January/ February 2022
  • The internship is fulltime (in consultation also 4 days a week possible)
  • The duration of the internship is 5 or 6 months (in consultation with your internship supervisor)
  • It is a practice-oriented internship
  • You will be based in Schiphol and Amsterdam
  • You will receive an internship fee of €500 (wo & hbo) or €400 (mbo) gross pm based on fulltime
  • You will enjoy 2 vacation days per month (based on fulltime)
  • If you do not have a student OV product, your commuting expenses will be fully reimbursed

 

The start of your internship

Together with a diverse group of interns from different departments you will start your internship at HEINEKEN. Together you will be introduced to the organization. Furthermore, you can organize fun activities with your fellow interns.

For this role, we are looking for a candidate who has a willingness to learn and develop their skills and capabilities across communication, commercial, contracts, sustainability, and innovation.

 

Also the ideal candidate has/is:

  • Currently in study for a master degree in finance (pre-requisite)
  • Exceptional team player capability and eagerness to learn, share knowledge
  • Proficiency in English: written, spoken and interpersonal
  • A pragmatic approach with a can-do mentality
  • Familiar with general office tools (Microsoft)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working independently on tasks and at the same time be a team player
  • Assertive, pragmatic, resilient and a can-do attitude
  • Strong personality with the ability to work in a demanding and fast-paced environment
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Registered in a European (EU) University for the duration of the internship (6 months)

 

Conditions of HEINEKEN

  1. You are enrolled at an educational institution.
    1. In the case of non-EU nationality, you must be registered as an intern with a Dutch educational institution.
    2. In case of EU nationality, you may also be registered as an intern at educational institutions outside the EU.
  2. Physical presence at the location of your internship. We believe that you learn most when you can work directly with your colleagues. It is therefore not possible to work completely remote and HEINEKEN does not facilitate housing.
